Wow, smoke some herb with your RB and calm the fuck down. You make yourself an easy target and if you can't figure out that HD is poking the bear on purpose bc he knows the classic reaction he's going to get from you, then Idk what to tell you....
Sheesh. HD, game recognize game. Well played.
Hammer didn't you start a thread about your own drinking problem, then you call out someone that is still sober from drinking? That's really pathetic...and shows your true colors.
13 months > 2 weeks
LOL who am I kidding...you're not even 2 weeks sober. You can't even do that...
greater benefit than a Lb of air pressure.
Sad day to be a 49er fan. *Rice deserves an asterisk by his name too.
Jerry Rice, owner of just about every career record at WR and played with a bunch of different QB's is now a "system receiver". What a joke. Moss was a one trick pony and when that trick wore out he was useless. It was a HOF worthy trick but that's all he had in his bag. Rice blew out his knee in his prime and was still able to put up 1200 yards receiving at 40.
Why would he 'return to the scene of the crime' by tarnishing the legacy of the 49ers. Does he mean that all 49 receivers did it or all receivers in the league?
Is he counting on the romance of the 70's and 80's era to discount this level of cheating?
Since Rice is being so honest, he should just admit he's an A hole and give up telling people what he thinks.
Because he played in a dink and dunk offense most of his career. In 2004, when the Raiders went to a downfield offense under Norv Turner, he couldn't hack it, and ran off to Seattle.
Saw this posted somewhere:
The official rule is on page 34 of the NFL Rule Book, and reads that prohibited substances include: "Adhesive, Slippery Substances -- (i) Adhesive or slippery substances on the body, equipment, or uniform of any player; provided, however, that players may wear gloves with a tackified surface if such tacky substance does not adhere to the football or otherwise cause handling problems for players."
Lot's of players/ teams have cheated or, tried to gain an advantage in some way or another.
When they get caught they're usually punished for said actions.
It wasn't illegal to use it back then, just about everyone used it til it was banned....
These guys are grabbing at straws now, but you can't talk your way out of getting caught with your hand in the cookie jar....
The league ain't gonna do nothing anyway, so it's all for naught......
Hey good going man. I've never had problems with drinking but for the past 12 years or so, I don't drink in the month of February. Just kind of a yearly check thing that a fellow I work with does so it's become a bit of a pact. Well this was week one and I sure missed that Friday afternoon cold one or two or six but fortunately, the cravings are never physical. Now cigs, that's another story. Went through a couple of bouts to finally be done for good.
...and yeah, Hammer's really shitty with people and does crap others would get banned for but the good side is that we have him to point out all the hypocrisy in the world. Hang tough man, glad to hear you're on a good path. HOW 'BOUT THEM PATRIOTS?!!!
As for the thread, if stick-em was used after it was banned, it would surely have a greater benefit than a Lb of air pressure.
Calm down? We won the SB, I'm happy. Hammer is just being an asshole because he's still so upset about the Pats winning.
Also, "poking the bear on purpose"...aka as trolling people on his own site. You just admitted to me Hammer is trolling the shit out of Pats fans on purpose. It's honestly just embarrassing that he's doing this. He needs to get over the fact we won. He's been crying for a week straight.
Because he played in a dink and dunk offense most of his career. In 2004, when the Raiders went to a downfield offense under Norv Turner, he couldn't hack it, and ran off to Seattle.
People who say that Rice took a lot of tough hits are liars. The 49ers usually faced zone coverages with guys 7-10 yards off the ball, and Rice ran a lot of slant patterns. He didn't run a whole lot of real routes.
I was watching a 49er-Falcon game from 1990 where Rice caught one of his quintessential passes. They had twin WR's lined up to the left, with Rice on the inside, and both DB's playing off 5-10 yards. The one DB did bump Rice for a brief moment, then released him, and he ran wide open while nobody came over and covered him. Montana hit him for a 24-yard TD pass.
Jerry was a good WR, but he was a product of that system to a large degree. I think that someone like Paul Warfield or Don Hutson should be considered the best ever, not Jerry. Megatron is also a possibility. I would have Moss as GOAT, but he didn't really have too much of a work ethic.
