So if Dallas wins this weekend, we won't hear shit about refs helping?

I'll take the bet against that any day of the week. A Dallas win that isn't followed by bitches talking about cheating, unfair calls, or god knows what has yet to happen.

I have no idea what people will be saying after the game no matter who wins but I would certainly bet if the game is close, GB gets a questionable call.

It happened on the critical 4th down play with 6 minutes left. Would have been called back to replay the down at 4th and 14. Cowboys would have likely punted. Not so sure they complete comeback with Detroit able to take time off clock.

Anyone think they may have gotten their just due because of all the dirty crap Suh has done and got away with ????
I feel sorry for Megatron and Stafford, but supporting a dirty player makes you dirty too....
Pardon me, I just can't stand the sight of that guys name !!
Maybe next year the stigma won't be there....They're loaded with talent and deserve better..

Calls by the refs that are tough calls, iffy calls, or just bad calls are part of playing any game that has refs making calls. That goes for pee wee sports to the pros, what ever sport you want to name. Fans should just chalk it up as the human element in games and let it go. Shoot if I thought a sport was rigged, I'd quit watching , period. There is no way in hell I feel the NFL is rigged. The integrity of the game has to be the NFL #1 priority, otherwise who would want to watch? However when the game is being played on a 100 yards field and there are 22 players to keep a eye on and things happen so fast, there are going to be calls that folks call in question, but to act like the refs are giving the game to a team, well that's just folks, that have unrealistic expectations and in many cases just flat out bais.

It's stupid to keep back-tracking like the continue to do. The game has been played. It's over. The result is not going to be changed. Continuing to admit that calls were missed is only going to fuel the fire.
The folks complaining are all Dallas haters who have nothing better to do than criticize any Cowboys win.

This is a good point. The Lions fans failed to criticize Suh for his many on field incidents.

Refs gave Cowboys the game but crap happens. Yes it changed the game big time but oh well. Happens almost every year where a team gets really screwed. In this case NFL wanted Luck and Romo to win. Better ratings the following week.

100% fix. Did you see the head ref(whatever he is) partying in the Dallas Bus. All sports have some fixes. Its part of life. NFL wanted better ratings the following week. Come on Luck vs Payton, Dallas vs Green Bay. NFL is a Business.

Yeah, I do believe they are fixed. Dallas sure does seem like the darlings of the NFL this season. They paint the best picture anyways.

Superbowl 40 was fixed for sure. My buddy apologized to me in the 3rd quarter commenting that the NFL wasn't going to let Seattle win no matter if they deserved to or not. It makes perfect sense. The NFL would have lost way to much money if Seattle won. The Steelers have fans everywhere and have a NFL history that Seattle just plainly does not have. The Rooneys seem to walk on water too for some freaking reason. The old man was a drunk and a gambler but was loved nonetheless for some reason. Whatever.

Yep, they are fixed.

Pat Kirwin was talking about this yesterday on his NFL radio show. He was saying he doesn't believe there is any fixing in football BUT, he did have some friends of his who work on a few different NFL teams ask him (off the record of course) if he thought it was possible after watching the Dallas-Detroit game. He said these are guys that have been around the league for a long, long time and they were even questioning it. That is the problem the NFL faces now. When they make dubious, suspicious looking calls that appear to alter the outcome of big games it has people asking a question that is a massive black eye for the league. I'm not saying the fix was in, but just allowing plays like that one to occur gives fans the opportunity to muse about the fairness of the league and that is not a good thing for them. Some people probably already believed the league was fixed before that play even happened. What do you think their opinion was after? It just gives people ammunition to make their conspiracy theories come to life.

I don't think it's fixed but the way some games go down it does make me wonder.
If I was convinced it was a fix, I would sell my PSL's, quit buying merch and maybe dispassionately watch fixed games at home.

Let me put on the tin foil suit and explain this. It is so easy you won't even know or think it happened.

You only need to buy, or agree to give jobs to just a couple of the officials. You could even do it with one. You can call holding on every play. Or just the same, not call obvious holding. I am certain everyone has seen holding that was not called and seen holding that was called and extremely subjective as to was it holding or not. We have all seen ticky tack fouls.

It only takes just a very few calls or non calls to decide a game if the intent is to do so. Since all the officials have different angles, the ones not involved with the fix will just assume the other guy saw something different.

Its less obvious to put the fix in early than late. Multiple calls in the first half putting a team in the hole are never suspect. Late calls that change the game are suspect. It only takes a couple calls or more likely non calls to make the difference. And you only need to compromise one or two officials.

Instant replay shows us bad calls and missed calls almost every game so we almost expect them.
I doubt very many games are actually fixed. There would be no reason to make it worthwhile. But key games that decide seeding and or playoff advances maybe? But even then, very few.

What would the league gain by fixing games that would out weigh what they would lose if they got caught? If the fix is ever in, I would bet its some backroom deal between very few already shady characters.

Hold on, there's two guys in suits and sunglasses at my front door. I need to let the dog out for dinner!

Not a Cowboy fan, nor am I a hater. Not a lions fan, nor am I a hater.

You can't bitch and complain about a bad call costing you the game when YOU (The Detroit Lions Defense) lets the QB who is suposedly so shitty in the month of December (Tony Romo) drive down the field with no problems and score like it was nothing.

Now the Lions and crybaby Suh want to bitch about one play that cost them a game??? Because it surely wasn't the fumbles, or the interception the offense had. And it sure as hell couldn't be the fact that dipshit Suh and his bad ass D couldn't stop Romo when it counted..... NO couldn't of been any of that... It was just that one dumb ass play.

Lets blame the refs because we can't admit the fact that when the game was on the line we got beat because we couldn't stop the Cowboys.

Sportsmanship applies to fans as well as players.... I need say no more.

This is why I have respect for Cowboys fans, most that I know wont piss and whine about some stupid call.... Did it suck, sure it did, but it doesnt take from the fact they will say 'Hey, you beat us'

So then no need to put up your pic eh?

LEL at you.

You pick out one play and complain about it. Counter-facts shown to you and your only response is "no need ot do that".

If people would get over calling this one missed call as the only one, stuff like that wouldn't need to be pointed out.

Now back to admitting refs make mistakes and calls are missed, and back to hating Dallas and tlaking about "fixes".

Obama weighs in on refereeing controversy: "I'd be pretty aggravated"

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama says he'd be "pretty aggravated" if he were a Detroit Lions fan after the team lost an NFL playoff game to the Dallas Cowboys after a disputed penalty call.

But since he's a long-suffering fan of his hometown Chicago Bears, Obama says he can't have "too much sympathy for the Lions." The Bears had a losing season and missed the playoffs.

Obama told The Detroit News in an interview Tuesday that he couldn't remember a case in which a referee's "good call" was "reversed without explanation."

Obama: 'I'd be pretty aggravated' as a Detroit Lions fan

Yup maybe if we had the refs help like the holding of suh on 4th and 6 maybe stafford couldve driven them for a TD drive like romo did. Just think if the call wasnt reversed we might of at least kicked a FG. Then stafford wouldve only needed a FG. But we didnt have the help of the refs like the boys did.

"POOR US, we don't get help".

Ignore the fact Suh was even in the damn game. :L

Well why were the lions informed today that the refs missed a blatant hold on suh on 4th and 6? Did the NFL notify dallas about any missed calls? I doubt it

Probably. Dallas just didn't cry about em. We have a game to prepare for.
