So here it is week 5 of 2014. Like Ron Wood of Faces sang, "I wish that I knew what I know now when I was younger." That is, younger in August, before your fantasy draft.

Let's say that you are either Phil Connors, and are reliving the same nightmarish day over and over again (Groundhog Day); or either you could borrow Dr. Emmit Brown's DeLorean and go back in time (Back to the Future)... Either way you get to right the wrongs from August

What would you have done differently in your draft?

Well in my goofball league I would have taken Murray instead of Ball (would have given me Charles, Murray and Foster), not passed on Matt Ryan in the 3 leagues that he fell in and probably should have taken a WR instead of Gerhart in my money league.

Used the same draft list for my money leagues as I did for MBBRL. Instead I revised and invested first rd picks on M. Ball - with Murray available. Also, kept Stacy over L. Bell. Those are the most notable. ....

Would have drafted my new start up 2 QB league totally different. Taking Cam at 1.6 with DT, Julio, AJG and Dez still on the board . Taking Wilson with Julio, Murray, Dez, Lynch, L Bell and Gio still on the board . Taking Jeffery with my 3rd round pick . Actually investing in a Patriots RB in Vereen as my #1 RB. Investing so much in Allen to see him totally flop. At least with how bad I drafted I can all but guarantee that I will get Gurley or Gordon. Just have to hope they land in good situations next season.

Looking back at my draft, there is only 1 pick I'm not thrilled with. Vernon Davis in 4th Round. He started off like gangbusters and still may finish as such though. But looking back, I might have just waited and grabbed Gates in the 9th or so - to pair with Rivers whom I got in like the 11th or 12th.

Murray instead of AP, Beast Mode instead of Jeffrey, Phillip Rivers instead of Cam Newton...I'm sure I have more. ;)

Looked away from C.J. Spiller. Kept Malcolm Floyd post draft instead of my revolving shit show at WR2. Listen to my gut on Jordy.

For once, I'd like to NOT fuck up my 5th round pick.

As for the MBBRL, I would have chosen differently for my 4-6 & 8 picks (Cruz, TRich, Welker, Reed). For my other leagues, I think I would have traded down.

As for individual players, I turned a blind eye to Murray in every draft. Had a hunch about Steve Smith and decided not to act on it.

And I wish I wouldn't have been so focused on getting one of this year's crop of rookie RB. I only drafted a few, but they were cut early so as to acquire FA help.

The most common mistakes I made in all my leagues were drafting the Carolina defense which has been terrible, although they did score positive points this week, Vincent Jackson, Larry Fitzgerald, and Pierre Thomas. Pierre Thomas is great if you can guess the correct week that Sean Payton isn't going to have his head up his ass.

Well easy at pick one don't bow to the pundits and trust my instinct which did tell me Forte...
i do like Murray have had him in keeper since he entered the league..but i would never be believed again if i said that was my choice but i seriously wrestled with Forte

Though it was fun posting my Shady Tree

1) Not draft Ball
2) Draft Steve Smith Sr in more than 2 of my leagues
3) Not draft Vernon Davis
4) Have more RB depth

I started to suspect this last year... but as a brand-new general rule I'd wait on RBs, because they're so unpredictable. Take a QB and two top receivers before worrying about RBs, but load up on them late.

Sammy brought up the same point awhile back, and I agree. It's becoming a WR world. TEs not as much yet, but I think that's coming, along with more 3rd down RB specialists.

I dunno if it's a WR league, exactly - top-5 RBs still give a better advantage than top-5 WRs - but identifying a top-5 RB has turned into a crap shoot.

And if you think about it, a great WR might get 120 touches a year. A great RB might get 400 touches. I'd bet the RB gets tackled 300 more times than the WR - and most of those, as AP put it, are like being involved in a car crash. Not what you want to see happening to your big fantasy investment. And (from a fantasy perspective) worse than being hurt enough to be out, they can be hurt enough to be less effective but still start.

And for fun in the Rankings Game I tried ranking the RBs in alphabetical order... with stupefying results (I'll post them there).
