Very impressive win for our Broncos! Came out and played aggressive football on both sides of the ball and both sides looked pretty darn good most of the time.

Few thoughts here though...I think our defense was just so close to having that dominant statement game. I would say 7 of the points on the scoreboard are hard to blame on them considering Arizona started at the 5 yard line and the 81 yard touchdown pass was in my opinion just about pure dumb luck. He threw into double coverage and somehow both of our guys just barely missed. Now given the defense did give up the play so they have to be held accountable for it but I would say 99 out of 100 times that pass is knocked down, picked off, or at least the receiver is stopped right there. Just a bit of a fluke play. Otherwise defense just looked dominant. I know it was against 2nd and 3rd string quarterback but the pressure our group put on was against a starting OL that hadn't given up a pressure in what 2 games by the Tackles at least.

Two guys on defense that just completely stuck out to me are Von Miller and Chris Harris (our Two ACL Guys!). Von Miller looks like his old just flat out unblockable self. The guy was everywhere. Harris should have had 2 picks in the game and it just seemed like he was always in lock down coverage. I honestly think he is our top corner this year ahead of Talib and Talib has been playing pretty well in his own right.

Offensively pass blocking was just about as good as it gets. You expect that when a team sends just about everybody they can at you that they will get to the quarterback at least a few times but other than a sack the Broncos OL and RB's really held their own and dominated. DT just put all doubts about him to bed. Had the best game of his life and that was with a 77 yard touchdown called back! Man oh man I am excited to finally see with him and Sanders both firing what this offense can do the rest of the season.

Still shaking my head at the running game but do have to say they did finally show some signs of life at the end so leaves me with some hope that something can happen.

Overall though when you beat an undefeated team with one of the top defenses in the league by 21 points you really can't complain too much. Great team win!

Yeah I agree cd. Couple frustrating moments but overall great performance. That D certainly seems to be meshing and getting stronger and more confident with each passing gm. Looks like we are going to see what Hilman,CJ ( when he gets back) and Thompson can do because looks like Ball could miss some time. Hilman seemed to locate the seems he was given and took advantage, where as Ball still seems to be struggling to find himself and holes. Be interesting to see how this run gm looks next wk vs a desperate and tough Jets front 7.

Here is the stat line that I really like for this defense. This is minus the 81 yard fluke touchdown play...

The defense only gave up 8 1st downs (most of those in the 1st 2 drives of the game), 3/16 on 3rd down, 10 3 and outs, 134 total yards, 97 yards passing, 37 yards rushing, and forced 11 punts.

No turnovers for the defense is something I would like to see change but we had quite a few opportunities that just didn't quite bounce our way. The muffed punt should have been ours and the refs saying they blew their whistle on the fumble making it unreviewable was ridiculous in my opinion. Also Harris usually is one of our better pass catching Corners so was surprised to see him drop 2 in one game.

That defense was allowing just 15 ppg coming in to that game. After the Broncos they are averaging almost a full TD more per game. And that's with a minimal ground game and the Broncos leaving a lot of points on the field.

Why subtract the 81-yard TD? The stats are impressive even with that included.

I subtracted it just because that one play was just pretty darn fluky as I don't see that happening very often to this team. You are right even with it they are down right impressive. Stinks people will see that 20 point score though and honestly that just doesn't do the defense justice of how dominant they were in the game.

Also starting to think that the 2 best teams in the AFC might just be in the AFC West with the Chargers once again looking dominant. Hopefully the Broncos can give the Jets a second straight shut out!

I agree. There has been cutback lanes and holes but Ball isnt seeing them or is just to slow. I followed his college career at Wisconsin and he had huge lanes to run in and just ran straight ahead. This is the NFL and it will take him some time to figure it out but the talent is there.

That`s so true Malibu. I was telling my daughter the other day that even though Ball had such a great career at Wisconsin, that school has always been known for getting these giant, highly recruited O- linemen that just open huge holes for rbs. Ron Dayne is another example, although he did have a couple good yrs with Giants. That`s one thing that sometimes gets over-looked when evaluating rbs coming out of colleage. Its the ones with the mediocre O-lines who excell that should catch your attention, not the ones that run behind some of the best lineman in Div1 football. Alabama is another example of over rated rbs.

Sorry you feel that way but I guess that's your problem and not mine. Just saying.

No need to apologize, and it certainly isn't a problem for me. I am just curious when and where this condition developed. Have you sought help? :wtf2:
