I wouldn't call him mobile, but Stanton can take some hits... one thing he does well is avoid getting sacked in the first place though, so he's kind of mobile while in the pocket, but he won't be getting much yardage on the ground.
He's pretty much a game manager, which is all we need. Limit turnovers and it should be a close game.
After watching him in the 49ers game I would say he is a notch below Alex Smith in the running or at least moving in the pocket ability. He isn't a Peyton Manning who can barely move in the pocket but he isn't going to take one 70 yards for a touchdown with his legs either. He runs when he sees a big opening but knows how to get down when guys are coming at him. I honestly was impressed with him in that game. I am hoping the Broncos though work to take his deep ball away and then have the linebackers really focus on the flats for RB's and TE's going into those zones and force him to make those throws between the 5-15 yards down the field. Seemed like the area he struggled with the most as he did seem to overthrow a lot of receivers. Seems like his touch is just a bit off. Some of that could be nerves though of just being stuck in the starting role and maybe 2 weeks of playing with the starters he has calmed down some. Still would test to see how he does.
I'm just excited bye week is over as it has felt like it lasted a month. Why the heck is it that when the Broncos seem to get a long break it is right after we lose to the Seahawks? Made this bye week that much longer for me. Should be a great game by two teams that I think could be standing at the end of the season as the final two left.
