I feel different. They most surely control their own destiny.

Payton's clock management at the end of the second did suck.

Soon as we got the ball I said to my friends "Now, this would be a time when it would be pretty obvious to take a knee".

We aren't a great team but we are a good team. Future looks much better. (Finally)

Playoffs would be huge step for this team. Anything else is a bonus.

Right. That's football for you. Every little thing adds up.

Stranad and Cooper's penalties were bad. Especially Stranad, we held them to a FG at that point.

Strnad who has played pretty well for the most part this year had an awfullll. BRUTAL game last night, IMO.
Strnad is bad. Hopefully Sanders is healthy enough to take over.
We need an upgrade at ILB next year.

True. Denver beats the teams it is supposed to beat. That's step two. Step one was who is Bo Nix.
Goal posts have moved since the start of the season.

Chicago was on its way to 5-2 when the CB decided to pay more attention to the crowd than the play in front of him. haven't won since.
Something to be said for the snowball effect. It's just frustrating to watch a $20M a year coach make game management blunders.

TL;DR: Quit expecting so much from a year 2 rebuild and a rookie qb.

Everyone is human, regardless of their paycheck. I bet what happened influences future similar decisions, so we can look forward to that.

As for moving the goalposts, that on YOU. If you bought into the hype about our defense, or Vance Joseph, or that Nix is the next great qb and they could make a run in the playoffs, thats nobody's fault but your own. (Collectively stating, not pointing directly at you as I know you've had questions all year).

It's difficult not to get swept up in the excitement and expectations the players, team and coaches have for themselves. But the facts are clear they just ain't there yet. We are the Chiefs alternate reality that loses all those games right now.

Like DC, I'm glad we have a team in the playoff hunt. But I definitely didn't expect anything from their post season other than another game likely to be a blow out.

As DC, OC and SS can attest, I get more irritated with the refs and VJ than most players except for our back up db's and inside linebackers. :D

I think we've got a bright future, and its coming soon. Enjoy the process.
