He still has to actually make the team. There are 22 guys on the Ram's roster that won't be there by this time next week. IMO, if had not held a press conference to tell the world that he's homosexual, he would not even rate a mention. There was no way the Rams could have cut him now without having the press (ESPN) screaming. So they'll wait until the final cuts and MAYBE he'll make it. Most likely, he'll go to the practice squad.

We're not talking about a guy playing QB here.....we're talking about a physical specimen. This is a guy who can be coached to be great.

If he wouldn't have came out of the closet this wouldn't even be a debate. That's why this is news, and that is my point. It's retarded. He is good enough to play for any NFL team and anyone with eyes that work can see this.

Dude was a mess at the combine and graded out poorly by many/most scouts. Given the strength of that defense already it's still not that likely he makes the team. Not impossible, but he's not a must-have simply because he sacked johnny money.

Agreed entirely here. He didn't drop in the draft because he is gay.... if Clowney was gay he still would've been taken #1 overall. Sam dropped because as Wizard stated his combine was pathetic. He was AT BEST a 4th-5th rounder pre-combine. Hell no mock draft prior to his gay announcement had him in the first 3 rounds anyway.

He's not in college anymore. This is the big league. Completely different deal. That's the first time I've ever heard the 249th guy select in the draft as a phenomenal player, though. Good one.

There are lots of players that 'might' be developed that never get that chance.

Sam does have a spotlight on him now and it's not out of the question that after he is cut (if he is cut) that another team picks him up at some point as an injury replacement. Being cut doesn't have to mean end of career, however he might fit right in up in Canada eh?

Uh, assuming he is really making routine plays EVERY week, I would. I'll gladly admit I was VERY surprised when Russell Wilson (as a die hard Hawks fans) was making plays. I didn't think that would work out at all. Was also surprised Sherman rose to the top as quickly as he did (thought he would be an above average corner, but not what he has become).

So yah.... stop posting words of ignorance.

End of day though, all that matters is a called Sanchez a BUST from day 1 and I was right. That little butthole, had to be called out.

I was going to ask what is with all the Cowboys hate but then it hit me.

I forgot about the news this week about the Cowboys being the first US sports franchise in history to top 3 billion. Damn, could you imagine what it will go to if we win a couple of playoff games? ..Good Lord.

Right now he faces the likelihood of not making the final cutdown because Ethan Westbrooks is playing lights out and Westbrooks his immediate competition for a roster spot. There is also the notion that the Rams will keep 9-10 D-lineman so he may make it with that knowledge. We shall see.

Yea I hear you JJM. After awhile, the freakin' media just won't stop beating a very dead horse. They have to keep pounding their agenda drum. So I just switch channels or don't read their insanity. Fisher has made it abundantly clear, Sam will make or not make the team based on his football skills and they just repeatedly ignore what he has stated. So I do the same with them because they just have this insane need. You get the picture.
