Amazingly good 6 innings for JW. Who among us thought he's give up 1 run through 6?

It's weird. While we are winning I'm happy, but I don't want them to go on a crazy winning streak or anything. I'd rather them sweep this series then lose the next 7 to make up the difference. That sounds so shitty, but that just how I feel. I'm numb to losing this year. I wanted our 1st round pick protected. That's when we had the 10th worst record. Now that we have sucked so bad for the past month+ I've moved on to the #1 overall pick like many others on here.

I hear you..... I hope the Yankees beat us like a red headed step child..... I'd like to see us win the series against the A's out of spite.

No way they do that, extra SPs or not, ridiculous even

Not at all ridiculous. Gausman will not be a playoff starter. Baltimore understands that its going to have trouble signing a bunch of players next year that make them successful. There arent many OF's available (without the cost of bundy + more) that are hitting around .300, can drive in runs, and can swipe bags AS WELL AS play a little outfield. The intelligence is key as well. Rios is going to be one of the best names on the market. He has experience in the ALE. To get a player that will give you the best chance of winning, you have to make sacrifices. I easily expect Gausman to be included in a deal. In fact, if it just took Gausman to take Rios, I bet it would be a done deal. I bet money that if we trade Rios to baltimore, it would be for a better package than just Gausman. He's going to be good. I like him a lot. But they gotta win now because its going to be difficult to resign a few of their players after this year. No way around it. The yankees keep getting better. Baltimore HAS to make a move. They cant stand pat. Wildcard is out of the question. They gotta win their division. So they gotta trade for a bat. The Rangers can trade Rios to Balt, or they can trade to toronto. That drives up his price even more.

Perfectly reasonable.

Wouldn't mind leaving Mendez in there just for experience sake if we expect to groom him to be an important late inning reliever.

Trades like this happen every year. When a team is trying to win a world series, they have to trade their dudes. Its not like a once in a lifetime thing (like the teixera trade). We grossly overpaid for MG last year. We all knew it at the time, but we didnt care cuz we were in a win now mode. The amount we paid for MG is probably worse than balt trading Gausman for Rios. Not even probably.

My GF's brother in law went to HS with her. He went on a date with her and said it was awful. He said she was/is really annoying.

Can only imagine what a narcissistic drone she would be on a date.

In fairness to her from an on-air standpoint, she spent many a long day with Mark what's-his-name. You know ,the former Texas ex.

Respectfully and completely disagree, no way they trade Gausman for Rios, moving on, bc you obvious seriously overrate Rios

I hope Feliz has a nice comfortable 3 run lead to ease him back into the closer role.

Side note: Martin has looked damn good in the OF lately. Much better jumps, and the ball he went straight back on yesterday was beautiful.
