I am rooting for a protected pick. I know it sucks now, but it won't after the year is over. Well, I'm not really rooting for it.

I hope we get a protected pick also, but can we not lose 100 games? Would be nice.

It does matter. If we finish with one of the 10 worst records then our pick is protected. That means when we sign a pitcher that received a QO then we don't lose our 1st round pick. I find some solace in knowing that. I know it's pathetic, but it won't be when FA approaches.

You may gave a legitimate concern. If when we are healthy, if, and have an offense it may be okay. But with the way things are now his lack of offense is magnified. And not sure if he has a head for the game. Great arm though.

All we need is a CF that plays good defense and provides around a .700 OPS, which is pretty much what Martin almost is... problem is when the rest of the lineup can't produce we all of a sudden increase our expectations of Martin

Martin has shown signs of growth, hopefully he can continue to put it together

he still swings at bad pitches, but he swings at fewer of them than before
