Let's be real you did most of that in the Big 8 beating up on Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State, Missouri, Oklahoma State and I guess sometimes Colorado was good. Seriously you played in a conference where at best you had maybe two good games a year but most of the time it was one until the bowl.

Once you got in a real conference it's been a lot tougher now hasn't it.

everyone that I know wanted to either go to the BWW bowl in AZ to play KsSt or even the Texas Bowl because they just wanted a different location. I'd bet both of those locatiosn would have sold more Husker tickets than what Michigan (4k - returned 6.5k) and Minnesota (3k - returned 8.5k) sold.

You're probably correct and its nice to know at least one Husker fan can respond intelligently and not go immediately to the retard card, finger gifs or try and pull their dick out to measure.

you claimed Nebraska got a high amount of wins from the Old Big 8, that's why they brought up the rankings from 1995 (as you pointed out was before the Big 12 started).

All teams get a lot of wins from crappy teams. it makes up a huge parts of schedules especially before TV really became a huge part of CFB. I know for a fact you can't say Auburn's schedule didn't have some cupcakes back in the day.

I am of the opinion that Nebraska is a very historically significant school and I'm shocked that a fan base that is described as one of the best in college football sold less than 2K tickets. I've found your points interesting and some of the others that haven't defaulted to sophomoric attacks.

I think your point that the SEC and BIG should drop one of their bowl alignments a good one and I've heard similar comments from SEC fans especially since the cotton bowl has moved and more teams would prefer to play there. I have to admit seeing Jerry World appeals to me more than another trip to Orlando as well but I would still make the trip.

son, 1 year / 1 game does not make a trend. Huskers travel well, as already pointed out by numereous posters, this was 1 stinking game that people just weren't excited for. weren't excited for the location, nor the opponent. thus low ticket sales.

Gotta agree with the Corn Holer on this one, and I despise this fan base, but he does have a good point. 1 year/1 game doesn't mean dick. The Corn Fuckers do travel well and have a loyal fan base. I don't think any fan base is going to travel across the country for the same shit bowl 2 years in a row against the same opponent. Now if it's for the NC two years in a row against the same opponent, that's a different story.

Fact is, NU only had 1 good opponent every year 99% of the time in conference during the Big 8's history and that was OU, vice versa for OU, too. At one time from 1970 - 1988, either OU or NU won or shared the Big 8. Also, NU and OU won or shared the Big 8 76% of the time during its history. The other members of the Big 8 didn't become relevant until the Big 12 formed and the conference ended unlimited partial qualifiers and historically dogshit programs like Okie jr, MIZZOU, KSU, KU, ISU, and CU were able to recruit the Lone Star State and recruit on par with Nebraska. For the record, I know the SWC sucked during its last 15 years of existence, but historically, was a tough as shit conference with 5 different NC's.

I was there. Nebraska was 2/3 of the almost packed stadium. I would say 25,000 Nebraska fans, maybe 30,000.

To quote Northwestern's Kain Colter, "We had to go to (a) silent (count) at the end of the game at our home stadium,” Colter said. “That was a first. We didn’t prepare for that the whole week.”

Yes, Northwestern had to try and use a silent count on it's home field because of the Nebraska fans.

I was there. The stadium was 1/3 empty, 1/3 Nebraska, and 1/3 Purdue. That puts around 15,000 Nebraska fans.

Florida State to a BCS bowl game in Florida sold less than half of their allotment. That's right, the future National Champion of the 2013-2014 season could not sell half of their tickets in their own state.

Actually I really haven't bashed anyone just pointed out the poor ticket sales and how that will have a negative effect on the program. I have called Nebraska a historical program and mentioned the fans have one of the best reputations in college football.

Now some of you guys have said Georgia isn't a historic program and tried unsuccessfully to bash Auburn.

There are a few that have a brain and actually provided quality discussion points.
