Wow, I guess the super bowl respect thing doesn't work in Seattles favor? I mean the Ravens the year before got Pitta and Jacoby Jones?!?! on the list!

So Bobby Wagner, Michael Bennett and Cliff Avril dont make the cut. Normally I wouldn't be too angry with this until they tell me that San Fran has TEN guys and Denver has NINE!!!

Weird that the super bowl champ has HALF the players on this list that those two who Seattle beat on the way to the championship, One of those games in embarrassing fashion..........

And you guys wonder why Seahawks fans are so testy. No respect.....

on one of the commercial breaks michael silver said that since Kam was announced and the other four are pretty obvious, that its no dice for wagner, bennet and avril.

Theyve leaked quite a bit, 10 niners, 9 broncos.

Also it's voted on by the players so it's the players that don't have a ton of respect for the Seahawk players.

5 is a little low but it's about right. Wilson, Sherman, Thomas, and Lynch are no brainers for the rest. I think Bennett should be on it but his sack numbers probably doomed him and a case could be made for Wagner. Okung and Harvin would probably be on it if they stayed healthy but they weren't so I don't see any issue with them not being on it.

So...if a team beats another team, then we are supposed to conclude that the winning team has more players in the top 100.

There's a lot of good players in this league and it's pretty difficult to be recognized in the top 6%. I don't think Wagner, Bennett, and Avril deserved it.

Seattle is only good because they are allowed to hold and have illegal contact down field. Every other team would get flagged but Seattle gets away with it because refs are lazy and don't want to call it. The NFL should start calling fouls same for all teams.

Well I guess if you have a problem then you should talk to the players who voted for this list. Now as for the list itself not sure who else other than Bennett from the Seahawks that I would have included. What made the Seahawks great wasn't that they had a bunch of all stars on the team but that they were good up and down the roster. Most positions (other than OL and WR) had players top-10 to top-15 for their position. That doesn't make them top-100 overall in the NFL but it does lead to a good overall team.

Middle Linebacker Bobby Wagner, Cliff Avril and the aforementioned Michael Bennett.....

Last game I watched, the better team won, not the more talented players per se. Oh and the SB MVP wasn't on anybodies radar at all. I could care less about top 100 lists and such. 5 is about right because the Seahawks aren't about that. They are about a team effort and solid throughout. Nothing wrong with that. Hell, KC has had a bunch of pro-bowlers and talented players the last couple years and likely has more top 100 guys than Seattle but it doesn't translate to winning what is probably the ultimate "team" sport. Btw, that's not a shot at the Chiefs, just citing an example.

P.S. I like Bobby Wagner as much as any Seahawk fan but no, I don't think he makes the cut. Just outside.

Wagner is so important to the defense. Go back to the TB game, and the STL game. Both teams ran all over seattle.....what changed? Wagner was out for TB and extremely hobbled vs stl..........

STL also had 1-2 of their olinemen out and Tavon Austin out.

Wagner is probably a fringe top 100 player, though. He is good. Bennett is a top 50 player or was last year

Nobody is debating that he isn't good and I would put him right outside the top 100 but he's still the 3rd best LB in just the NFC West. I would still take Willis, Bowman, and Washington (in a world that he isn't suspended for a year) over him.

So I don't have an issue with him being off the list and I wouldn't have an issue with it if he was on the list as well.

Not to mention Karlos Dansby having a good year last year and Alec Ogletree looking very promising.

Who cares? What does it matter if someone (subjectively) ranked players and the seahawks (or any team) has only a few top ranked. Worry more about the outcomes on the field and less about paper stats.

Some seahawk fans have become a little too sensitive about their team. If someone bad mouths them respond with "who won the SB?" and move on.
