Until more information comes out on the woman's tox screen, this appears to be a freak incident. I've never heard of any NFL QB in this kind of mess. Because it's an unusual circumstance. If it turns out that she just drank too much, and Kap called 911 and sent her to the hospital, what did he do that is so very bad, or shows such terrible judgment? Expecting any young person to stay away from marijuana entirely is unrealistic.

I wouldn't be thrilled about the pot (mainly because I wouldn't want him to get caught and face legal/league consequences) but yeah, if it went down like that then obviously he did everything else right.

If i'm the QB of the 49ers I'd live my life the way I want to live it though of course I wouldn't be doing anything overtly stupid. I rarely take shots nowadays and havent smoked weed since high school, but whenever I visit friends today the girls are frequently the ones drinking/mixing drinks, and taking bong hits in the garage so maybe I'm biased now that I think about it

However, Peyton Manning was accused of sexually harrassing a women back in the day and Brady cheated on his pregnant girlfriend so no ones a saint nowadays especially with everything on blast the minute someone hears about it.

I just think because of his celebrity status, (being a well-known athlete), he should be more careful. If he smoked weed with just Patton and Lockette, it would be a non-issue. I hope for the best for Kap. Like I've stated, I hope he grows up from this incident and uses better judgment.

I just mean him smoking pot in general. Like if he randomly got tested for it by the league. Not sure if they do that though or if you have to had some sort of offense before they start testing you for recreational drugs.

The thing is they aren't being accused of anything which is why this story has become ridiculously overblown.

The woman has yet to actually accuse them of anything and if the paramedics were called and there was a naked woman on the scene (if she was actually undressed like reports say) than it's due diligence on the police's part to make sure nothing happened.

Hence why it was being an investigation into a suspicious incident and not sexual assault which TMZ erroneously reported.

The cops have not said he is fine for now. They have said they are conducting an investigation. And I don't know many people who have been accused of a serious crime in the media who come out and make public confessions.

Is there some hypothetical in which Patton drugged a girl Kap had been seeing without Kap's knowledge, Kap undressed her, left her passed out and naked in someone else's apartment, and then Patton did something? Sure. Be honest now: how likely do you think that is? And even if that is what happened, if a case proceeded against Patton, do you really think it would have no bearing on Kap whatsoever? You don't think he might be listed on a witness roster and potentially even be asked to testify? Or that his name would continue to be splashed across headlines?

yes he might have to still get involve but as 49ers fans we need to have hope he didn't do anything wrong. I am a person who believes in you are innocent until proven guilty. These days people (especially the media) u are guilty until proven innocent.

Sources familiar with the incident said it was one of the players who placed the original calls - two of them - to the police. When police arrived they became concerned with the woman's frame of mind, and they called Miami Fire Rescue, which handles EMT service in that city.

You either have the worst short-term memory ever, or you're a compulsive liar. You made your statement about Patton well after everyone knew the TMZ story was incorrect. And I haven't jumped on anyone. Not close to it.
