I'm hesitant to vilify this woman without knowing more facts, too. She may very well be telling the truth. I wouldn't blame her for freaking out if she woke up in a hospital bed, had no idea how she got there, and the person who brought her was nowhere to be found. I would hope that she might talk to Colin first and ask him what happened, if they did indeed have a history that wasn't purely sexual, but who knows? It's not a given she's a gold-digger, though it's certainly a possibility.

Not all hot women are jerks though… Yes they are used to getting what they want this is true, but that doesn't mean there ok with setting someone up or having them thrown in jail on false charges… It takes certain types to do that… Only way to know if there that type is getting to know them and seeing how they react to situations and learning about there personality… Takes time man… But in time the warning signs always come out…

Of course nothing is absolute. There are hot women that over with celebrities that are fine. I was speaking of hot women in the context of those who hook up with celebrities. But of course, even then, there are no absolutes.

You're almost as bad as TMZ. Virtually nothing has come out since TMZ's initial headline was corrected, and certainly "the truth" is still very much clouded. The only new information is Kap protesting his innocence, but that's basically meaningless.

And if Patton is in trouble, then Kap is almost certainly in trouble for aiding and abetting. Either they're both in the clear or they're both in hot water.

Why even bother trying to defend him from the haters? No. 1 on the list above is a problem. I could farnkly care less about #2 and #3 and the other stuff. #1 is the only thing that's even a little bit of an issue IMO. Sure, the Dolphins hat thing was pretty dumb on his part, but it was fairly harmless. As far as the magazine bit, give me a break. I don't recall anyone calling out Patrick Willis or Vernon Davis for appearing in the Body Issue.

Exactly. I would kind of put Harbaugh in with Kaepernick in the sense that are alot of people outside of SF that don't like him and will jump at the chance to bash him.

Frankly, I think it's more deserving in the Harbaugh case. I like to joke (especially to my Hawks fan friends) that Harbaugh is an asshole, but he's my asshole. Pete Carroll, on the other hand, is just a douchebag.

As I said yesterday, I can see people finding Kap irritating or obnoxious, but I don't really understand all the outright hatred.

There is so much speculation going on. He is being called a rapist, gang banger, thug. All kinds of things.

The cops have not said he is fine for now. They have said they are conducting an investigation. And I don't know many people who have been accused of a serious crime in the media who come out and make public confessions.

And yes, true. I said "almost certainly." Is there some hypothetical in which Patton drugged a girl Kap had been seeing without Kap's knowledge, Kap undressed her, left her passed out and naked in someone else's apartment, and then Patton did something? Sure. Be honest now: how likely do you think that is? And even if that is what happened, if a case proceeded against Patton, do you really think it would have no bearing on Kap whatsoever? You don't think he might be listed on a witness roster and potentially even be asked to testify? Or that his name would continue to be splashed across headlines?
