It's not Lebron's fault because as bk points out, Spoelstra drew the play. However, with only 2 seconds left, it should have been Lebron's shot. In 2 seconds, he can get the ball, take a quick dribble for timing and take a good shot. Trying to get it from him to Bosh and let Bosh get set and shoot, just doesn't give Bosh time to get a good shot off.

As you say, there really isn't a high % shot in that situation, but Lebron could have gotten a higher quality shot. The real mistake though, was waiting so long to foul.

Probably, but wasn't it 2.3? Maybe with a home time keeper , like in practice, you get that few extra 1/10's?

As it turned out they couldn't properly execute the play draw up in the amount of time left.

3 guesses who's trying to make this about Lakers fans again...:lol:

You can't comprehend what 46/48 playoff wins meant, so please don't come to a more complex thread and dummy it down.

Let's leave it at basketball talk.

Yeah, you may be right, even then, that extra 3/10 of a second doesn't help much. Just too hard to get a pass and a shot in that amount of time. Spoelstra's smart though. He'll learn from that and have a better play next time. I think we sometimes forget how young and inexperienced he really is because of how much success he's already had.

Lebron doesn't shy away from fts. He is just smart. When you have one of the best ft shooters in NBA history on your team you give the ball to him. It is called common sense.

Usually when Ray is not on the court, LBJ is actually the one who always take end of game fts....Just another myth made up about Lebron

So then maybe he is smart enough to know that him being on the line in pressure situations is NOT a good idea.

First of it would've been almost impossible to get to the rim in 2 seconds so free throws wasn't the issue and for the 100 time, he ran what the coach called. What don't you understand? If the play was for Lebron, there is a 98% shot it would've ended up being a 3 or a mid range jump shot.

Hill doesn't shy away at all. BUT, George Hill can be counted on to choke free throws away like nobodies business.

And you really think James shy's away from anything at this point of his career?
I'm not saying he would have made them, but he would have loved the opportunity.

Bosh had just hit a 3, he is a very good clutch shooter, and Spoelstra knew he would be open.

It just didn't work.
It had nothing to do with James' mindset.

Pump fake, foul? Something tells me that if LeBron wanted the ball, the coach would have scrapped his play and made one for LBJ. Just a guess lol.

LeBron was having a great night, why not give him the last shot?
