Actually Boss and others, the latest is that after witnessing Clowney tear up the 40, they (Detroit) may be willing to trade up with the Rams to take him for the number 10 first rounder this year, a second rounder this year, and a number one next year. Could be interesting.

I certainly wouldn't be surprised if the Rams traded to around the 5 th or 6th spot to horde more draft picks.

The problem is Houston could now envision at least Jacksonville as a trade partner as Jacks has both QB and DE as needs. Clowney has positioned himself as the BPA with his speed alone.

With the Rams set at QB for THIS round in THIS draft we could be the odd man out after JC's showing today.

I'm afraid I have to agree with you Vita. I think the 2nd pick in the draft was badly devalued after Clowney's performance at the Combine. Teams will be offering the farm to Houston to get this guy. The rest of the field is good, but IMHO not worth the 2nd pick in the draft. The rest of the teams probably feel that way too, so if there is a player they want, they probably will not be inclined to over-pay to move up to get him.

Sam Bradford has been sacked 120 times in 49 career games and on 6.4% of his career drop backs.

So are you saying he gets sacked alot and that his oline isn't very good? If that is what you are saying that is not true. since Sammie has been in the league the Rams have pretty much been in the middle of the pack as far as being sacked per pass play! If you look at the past two years there are a ton of QB's that have gotten sacked more than Sammie, and they are still putting up some pretty good numbers! Just saying!

And Vita, you know I'm not in the Sammie camp, but I do hope he has a huge year this year, I truly would like to see him succeed, I'm a Ram fan first and always!

Got that right Smed55. Just one more illegitimate excuse we can cross off the "Sam's Great, The Rest Ain't" excuse list.

Who exactly is making this excuse BOSS? :noidea:

As SJ mentioned, we knew this to be true early on for Sam.

So how about some names please!

IDK Johnny football seems to be doing pretty darn well at the combine and he seems to have his tude in check.

Pretty darn well? He only ran the 40 and skipped everything else. The question wasn't his running ability, but his arm. 4.68 is good for a QB, but not newsworthy really.

C'mon Vita. We've heard that excuse for Sam so many times from so many posters I've lost count. Every one of the Sam sympathizers was excusing his play because of a bad offensive line, bad WRs, bad running back, bad OC, bad showers in the locker room yada yada yada. About the only thing they didn't use as an excuse was the bad food at the stadium. If you want names go back in the posts and look them up. It's irrelevant and not worth the effort to me but I guarantee it's there. I may be going senile, but I do remember that.

Personally, I just can't argue the Bradford deal anymore. We have all stated our 2 cents and no one knows until Sam gets healthy and we start again next year. He got beat early and developed happy feet, but has had no real excuse the last 2 years IMO.

Proof is in the pudding. Many have seent the deer in headlights look, no fire, looking sceered. Let's see if he bounces back off an injury where he's had to time to think and hopefully prep. I will say the guy needs to do more homework and get on it, because the NFC west will be looking for him soon.

The wolves always come after the sheep ( Sorry Bradford, no pun intended) Every team in our division hopes Bradford recovers and is our starting QB next season.

To me this 'excuse' was scratched off the list long ago and Sam antagonists just continue to bring shat up as if it's something that has just been said.

To me it's akin to mocking Sam antagonists for saying Sam can't convert in the red zone. This too was scratched off the list long ago.

Yet you, like many other Sam antagonists, continue to drop bombs (deer in headlights look, no fire, looking sceered) and then say your done with it....:wtf2:

To me that's like cold cocking someone and then saying you can't deal with a fight right now.

You're either done or you're not. And you and BOSS are not done otherwise you shut it already!

2014 NFL season will be Bradford's make or break year... We'll see what happens.

:agree:

And every miscue will be magnified along the way regardless of the games/seasons outcome.

I hope like many others he has a great season but then he would get a high $$$ extension and whatever the outcome all Sam antagonists wont find it justifiable unless he won the Superbowl. Mind you not if the Rams win the Superbowl but it would require Sam to WIN the Superbowl as in we couldn't have won it without him.

That's a tall order!

To be candid, if we have another bad season whatever the reason/excuse and were able to draft high enough to pick a Marriota, Hundley or Winston should they have a great 2014's in the College ranks, I don't care what Sam does, I want one of those guys starting in 2015. As a matter of fact, even if Sam has a mediocre or fair year, I would like to see the Rams trade up if need be to get one of those QB's barring a bad season by either of those PAC QB's or this years Heisman Trophy winner.

It could happen too if we trade that Clowney pick. A trade down could provide extra picks to work with in 2015!

For all those who are Sam antagonist and draft Clowney supporters, they should consider this as a real possibility

It keeps coming up because it's Sam's modus operandi Vita. Until he proves otherwise the criticism remains the same and is still valid. So what now, we're not supposed to criticize Sam because we did it already? The same criticism is going to come up again as soon as the season starts....and in turn the same lame old excuses as well. SJ is right, we've beaten the Sam Bradford argument to death here, but be that as it may, don't say the criticism is no longer valid....he is still a deer in the headlights....difference is he is going to be mounted on the den wall of one of the defensive ends in our division next season. Book is out on Bradford, and the onus is on him to change it. Until then it's status quo with him.
