The idea of getting Choice in against any LH at OF or DH makes perfect sense. Plus he can bat against RH from time to time.

That was the same platoon deal Gentry had ... the RH guy in a platoon gets screwed and days and days on the bench.

Choice needs to be an every day player ... at TEX or AAA. If Choice's not in LF for Choo then moving Martin to 4OF so split time with Rios may make the point to him.

They signed him for $130mil for his bat ... not his OF talent. Just because he's an OF ... doesn't mean he has to play there in the AL.

You want the best lineup ... well that is Choice in LF and Choo at DH ... better both offensively and defensively than Choo in LF and Mitch at DH. Not even close.

Mitch should be 1st and Fielder at DH, but that too isn't happening

Mitch is going to get one last chance. There's not much that will change that at this point.

I don't agree ... that's the same BS program Wash had Profar on last season. Having to show up every day not knowing if I am going to play or not ... and then not knowing if I am going to be at 2b, SS, LF, 3b or DH. That sucks.

Why isn't it most obvious that that Choo is the one who ought to give up his spot in LF and DH?

Choo is the low performing defensive OF out there. Why would Choice be a better OF choice than Rios? ... or Martin? If you play Choice in LF ... then Choo DH's.

Every day.

Same reason why Fielder is playing 1B instead of Moreland and not DHing

Fine, I'm telling choo isn't going to be the dh. Move on from the idea.

Sucks less than knowing you're playing everyday in AAA. Part-time role in MLB > everyday role in minors.

For a player that wouldn't benefit from more time in the minors, yes, but Choice still has some developing to do, playing everyday in the minors is better for him than playing sporadically on the bench

But if he's getting regular ABs at the ML level then I'm ok with it

Windings post was saying it would suck for the player to not know if/where he's playing when he shows up each day. I was just saying if you were to ask Choice if he'd rather be the 4th OF in Texas or starting RF in AAA, he's gonna pick 4th OF in Texas 100 times out of 100.
