There is enough blame to go all around, but I'm just looking forward to the draft. The past is the past and there are worse things to be than a Patriots fan.

Ummm that would be a 180. He went from facing the end zone to facing the LOS at which time the ball bounced off his hands. By the time he finished turning and fell to the ground the ball was long gone. Turning to face the LOS to catch a pass happens a lot actually. Are you sure you watch much football ?

LOL! My bad...it was a 180. That aside...ColdHardFootballFacts says the following:

The correct answer is both players are at fault. It’s a catch Welker should make, and it’s a throw Brady should have made much easier to catch to a wide open receiver.

IMO...Welker was open, the pass was the problem and if I had to place the majority of the blame on either Brady or Welker I'd say it's 80% Brady's fault. You may choose to do otherwise.

Who should we blame for all of Brady's overthrows against the Broncos...the receivers?

It's a routine NFL catch and a WR's whole job is to catch a football. If you can't make a routine play on a routine ball you don't belong on a practice squad.

LOL!

Welker's reception totals with the Patriots:

2007: 112
2008: 111
2009: 123
2010: 86
2011: 122
2012: 118

Yeah he couldn't catch a cold...

Brady DEFINITELY. Poor performance from him. That first half was :gaah:.

LMAO so the fact that it was the Superbowl makes it more catchable. :laugh3::laugh3: As if the game matters. Look you are wrong and that's the end of it.

Lol. Dude could you possibly be more lost ? The fact that it was the Pats and I'm not a Pats fan has absolutely nothing to do with my, or anyone's, ability to assess the play, as you've implied several times now.

Your lost, the point is the majority of Pats fans see it more as Brady' fault. Your the silly ass that thinks because he played WR in middle school that makes him inherently more qualified to make the call or the because it was the SB the pass is more catchable. It was clearly pointed out the Welker was not covered was open by at least three yard and the Welker had to stop full speed and do a 180 in the air just to have a shot at it. You seem to want to ignore that which is simply ignorant. So as I said you wrong and simple refuse to see the play how it went down.

I know an agree. There are Pats fans that see Brady as a god, and cannot or will not be objective when conversing about Brady. I have seen it for to many years. I get blasted all the time for stating that Brady is in decline, I have been saying that for two years now. IMO it was a poorly thrown ball and Wes made a damn good play just to get a hand on it.

Yo mojo....you gotta at least retract this part of your statement.

No I don't! He basically had to stop at full speed in order to contort his body enough to do a 180 in the air.

That is a routine catch. It was not an impressive pay to get a hand on that. It was a poor play not to catch an easy ball.

How am I a contrarian? It's an amazingly easy ball and Welker choked. There's no other way to interpret that play.

Routine pass and catch, except the receiver can't catch.

I never said it was an easier catch because it was the Super Bowl. I mentioned the Super Bowl only to point out the fact that Pats fans were a very small % of people who saw the play and that being a Pats fan is irrelevant to assessing the play, contrary to what you seem to think. Do you have a link to this poll where the majority of Pats fans see it more as Brady's fault ? It doesn't matter, I guess. It would only prove that majority doesn't know any more about the game than you do. A lot of people have played the game at some level. I asked if any here who blame Brady have have ever played a receiving position because I was curious. I can't imagine anyone who has blaming the QB for that drop. All of the ex-pros who commented on it at the time put it on Welker... usually softening it by saying how sure handed he usually is , which really isn't true anyway. They were just trying to be kind. I don't know what's up with you lately... first your big push that Lynch should have the right not to talk to the press and now this... have you suffered a closed head injury recently or something ?

When you get 150 targets a year, you can catch a lot even with below average hands. But welker's hands are well below average.

That's both hands.. the palms of both hands, ftm. Yes, he turned towards the LOS raised his hands and the ball bounced off of them. It was spectacular. /sarcasm.

JDM how can you talk about Welker's hands being well below average when your HOF rookies WR's where dropping balls all year. You said Dobson has more upside then Josh Gordon, yes you can evaluate talent. I bet some how you blame Welker for spygate too.

On the Patriots, you don't get 150 targets if you can't catch the ball.

How many of the missed connections were Brady's fault? None...???
