Man, I wish I could be in Seattle right now

I bet that city is vibrating with energy. I was down there with my son for the week 2 game vs SF and the city had a pulse then. I can only imagine what it was like all week and this weekend.

How many party's in bar parking lots must be happening? Blue Thunder everywhere? A sea of Hawk's jerseys on every corner? That city must have a 12th man flag on every building. Man, it would be great to be there for this game.

It is humming here, but I can tell you there's a lot of 49er fans here. When I was downtown I saw a lot of red and one of the old taverns in the Pioneer Square District near the stadium is hosting the 49er fans and they had some rally or something. And you know what, the hype here about the rivalry is starting to get really wearying, it's almost like the media etc., they're all trying too hard. Granted, the teams are rivals, the coaches clashed in the past but it's starting to take on WWF proportions here. It's not like the rivalry is more "special" than any other division rivalry where the two teams are good and so are always competing for the division crown. I think part of it is how remote Seattle is in the Pacific Northwest, there's no other competing media or teams or anything so there's a big echo chamber here.
