Hmm... tough matchup for me to figure out. If we get Briggs back for this game, I'll feel a lot better about it. Last week, Cutler practiced, and the report was that he was readying for a return this week. So he may be back as well. It'll be interesting to see if the two practice tomorrow.

The Browns have been a funny team this year. They've played some good teams tough, and they've also lost to the likes of Jacksonville at home.

They have a good defense, and their offensive production pretty much soley comes from Josh Gordon. He has close to 600 receiving yards over the last three games. The good news is, they're not a good running team, but that's never mattered against this defense.

Jason Campbell is their QB, and we all know that is nothing to be feared. However, he will protect the football and limit mistakes.

IMO, Cleveland is a pretty similar team to Baltimore, just with a worse QB. We SHOULD handle them on paper, but this game still has me a bit nervous.

the Browns actually have a good defense. Most interesting thing about this game is it might be the best defensive test this offense has faced all season. Joe Haden is arguably the top CB in the league this year, though he's not getting media coverage. Check out what he has done against most #1 WRs he's faced. It's impressive.

I like our chances.

The D just needs to get a couple of stops here and there. They don't need to be the D of old. Average will do. I like the way our O matches up against ANY Defense in the league, save for maybe Seattle. B. Marsh and AJ are beast mode, exemplified. Add M. Bennett and Forte and the way the o-line has improved, and they are a tough matchup for any D.

It seems like a game we should win. So we probably won't.

this.............

They have no running at all.
But Gordon/cameron are excellent ecievers.
Their pass defense is very good starting with Joe haden.

But I`m like the guy above me,this is a game we shoulkd win,but probably won`t.
Look at the Vikings game two weeks ago,its a game we should have absolutely won.All they have is a horrible defense, horrible qb and a not so good wrs and then we lose.
For a team in the playoff hunt,we are to win those games.............Not get beat.

I think we win big. Were on a high. Well win because of the offense. Right now were a offensive force to be reckoned with. We can still move the ball no matter the weather we have proven that.

Also I'll be 10 seats up on the 40 yard line. Calling for snow F/Sat/Sun and very cold.

I wonder who haden covers alshon or marshall, who ever he's not on should have a big game. The bears will win imo but cleavland may make it close playing at home.

Ya know, every freakin D we have faced this year (except Dallas) was suppose to be the Best in the NFL... Starting with Cinny. I'm not impressed with a 4 win teams Defense.

Are you kidding, no one said the lions D was great, or the redskins, or the packers or minny or the steelers etc. Cleveland has a much better D than those teams. The bears will probably win because the browns have a crappy offense outside of maybe the best receiver in the NFL..

IMO, it will definitely be close.

And there's nothing to wonder about. He'll cover Marshall. No debate there.

Plenty of people picked against the Bears in Minnesota. The talk the whole week was about how Adrian Peterson was going to gash our run D.

I agree with you, although I personally think alshon has maybe surpassed him talent wise. This league beats you up over the years and alshon's body is simply fresher as well as having similar measurables to marshall.

Haden will cover the better receiver lined up outside. I doubt he will line up in the slot very much. Maybe the Bears line Marshall up in the slot more than usual. If they do, I'd bet Haden covers Jeffery on those plays.

Marshall still see's the opposition's number one corner, and has still has had one hell of a season despite the emergence of Jeffery. He actually had more receptions and yards than Jeffery Monday night, but that was overshadowed by the couple of circus catches Alshon made.

Alshon is the better deep threat and big play guy, but overall, Marshall is definitely still the better overall receiver... for now. He runs better routes, he's more physical, and still gets off the line of scrimmage better than Jeffery.

Although... Obviously, at 23 years old. Jeffery is the guy you'd have to go with if you were choosing between the two.

No, not kidding you. The Lions have arguably, now that Cinny lost their all pro Tackle the best D line in football. We got lucky with Greenbay, they didn't have Clay on the field when we played them. Also, Minny has Jared Allen, who has looked old this year for the first time. I'll give you the Skins and Steelers, we had no business losing to Washington.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders.

The matchup favors the Bears. Not much of Browns run game, and their QB is average at best. However...

I'll give you the Skins and Steelers, we had no business losing to Washington.

Not to rehash the Minny OT loss, but we shouldn't have lost to Ponder/Cassel.

The Browns could have some momentum since it is a home game for them. Bears are terrible vs the TE, and I'm sure Turner will exploit that for the Browns who have a good TE in Cameron. And the thought of our secondary covering Josh Gordon is scary (in the bad way).

And while the Browns don't have much of a run-game, it didn't take much for (can't hold on to the Rams' starting gig) Cunnigham, (rookie struggles until he faces the Bears) Lacy, (a shell of himself this season) Ray Rice, and (annual 'Boys disappointment) Murray to run all over the Bears. Our run-defense seems to make stars out of the opposing RB, regardless who it is.

My ? is how does Jay react. Does he perform at that same level as Josh has performing at. I doubt it. Considering he's going against a very good D.
Can Mel Tucker game plan to shut down Gordon . I doubt it.
I think Clev. puts our hopes to rest.

I kind of have a feeling that both the Bears and Lions will lose this week.
