Yep. Next thing you know we'll have Obamaplayoffs, where the bottom 2 teams in the country play each other with the winner advancing to play the top team for the championship.
Theres no such thing as an unbiased opinion when someone is a fan.
The best committee would be a pencil neck geek think tank that gives a rats ass about football, that was paid well, who would analyze the data according to what is afforded the committee to make their decision by and base their decision off of that.
Of course any committee like this is a stupid idea when the real solution is so much easier and more profitable.

and if by some miracle your team isn't 7-6 and is the one that gets screwed in an obviously susceptible to bias system?
Yup...A bunch of computer nerds who love data.Theres no such thing as an unbiased opinion when someone is a fan.

And what would that be? A 16 team playoff where scrubs were let in?![]()
Well sort of.... they won't make them play, they'll make the top 2 play & give the trophy to the last placed team in Division 1
No. An 8 team playoff where AQ conference champions go and 2 at large bids.
We could call it the GE bowl or the George Sorros bowlOr we can have the GOP national title that is awarded to the team who donates the most money to the committe prior to the season. Other teams who don't like the result are encouraged to cancel their entire seasons.

The selection process for members of the College Football Playoff committee is underway and Condoleezza Rice is expected to be one of the members of the panel, according to the AP.
The former secretary of state under President George W. Bush is an avowed football fan and has said that her dream job was to be NFL commissioner. While Roger Goodell looks like he won't be leaving that post anytime soon, the selection committee is a logical step for Rice.
A firm number of committee spots hasn't been announced, though it's expected to be between 12-18 people. That's larger than the basketball selection committee. Before the season, BCS executive director Bill Hancock said that the committee wouldn't be finalized before the end of the season but names of candidates have started trickling out. The committee will be responsible for the selection of the four-team playoff to determine college football's champion that starts next year.
In addition to Rice, ESPN reported that seven others have been chosen to the committee. Those are Wisconsin's Barry Alvarez, USC's Pat Haden, West Virginia's Oliver Luck, Arkansas' Jeff Long, and Clemson's Dan Radakovich, as well as former Big East commissioner Mike Tranghese. Former Ole Miss QB Archie Manning was named as well.
So a 5 loss conference champs can play in the playoff?
Nah.
Once again, why even play OOC games? I would have my 3rd string in every one of them. Dont need to win them since all you have to do is win the conference.
You would turn CFB OOC games into NFL preseason games.... worthless.
Agree. Makes zero sense if a conference champ is automatically in the playoffs. However, if they made it where conference champs get in if they are within a certain ranking....say the top 8-10, then that would be ok.
