Yeah, but it leaves an awful lot of doubt about a three-peat, though, don't it? This coming year I don't think so. The Pacers and Spurs showed everybody that the Heat can be beaten and showed everybody else how to do it.

i'd guess that's why the Heat addressed the "middle of the D" issue by signing Greg Oden. imo though i seriously don't know how much it's gonna help. i don't see the guy lasting long during the season considering his track record for injury. once again just my opinion...

course looking back on their last ECF against the Pacers they needed to do something. Roy Hibbert imo is simply getting to the point of being too much for those guys to handle...

Name one team that has beaten the Heat 4 of 7 in the last 2 playoffs? And no it doesn't leave a lot of doubt. The Pacers and the Spurs are good teams and nobody expecting those series to be short series for the Heat.

The Pacers have yet to beat the Heat in a game the Heat needed to win. They're now 0-5 against the Heat in the playoffs when the Heat needed to beat them.

Oden will be fine. As I stated last month he won't be asked to do much in the regular season. He will maybe play 50 games and avg 10-15 MPG...We need him mainly for the playoffs

Oh c'mon, man, I saw Heat posters all over the boards picking the Heat in 4 or 5 in both series. You guys are a bunch of loons.

There are a couple of things that Heat fans seem to want to conveniently ignore.

I agree, no team has beaten the Heat 4 out of 7 games in the past 2 years. However, in 2003, no team had beaten the Lakers (who were better than this Heat team) in 4 out of 7 games in the previous 3 seasons. In 2010, no team had beaten the Lakers 4 out of 7 games in the last 2 seasons.

Both of those Laker teams failed to make a 4th straight trip to the finals!! There is a reason that no team has made 4 straight finals appearances since the Showtime Lakers did it in the early 80's!! It's because it's a damn hard thing to do!!

You have to remember, teams have been paying attention to what has been successful vs. the Heat and EVERY team is trying to figure out ways to do the same. The target on the Heat's back gets bigger every day and with the way things are set up, it's harder for the defending champ to add pieces to improve their team than it is for those chasing them.

Do you really think the Heat would be taking a flyer on Oden and his knees if there were better options available to them?

Add to that the fact the Heat will be getting every teams best effort, every night (as they have for the past 3 years) and it takes a toll!!

I'm not saying that the Heat won't reach a 4th straight finals or that they won't get their three-peat. However, for Heat fans to act like it's a "done deal" and make statements like no team can beat them 4 out of 7 games is simply being willfully ignorant to the reality of what has been going on for decades in the NBA.

Wade was injured was a bigger part of that.

I can hardly wait to see how you guys respond when the Heat get eliminated next year. That will be a prize I will treasure indeed.

Wade didn't play like he was injured. That is a bunch of crap. He was fine.

And Oden will not help against Indy. You guys are going down. And I can hardly wait to see it happen and your reactions to it. :10:

You spoke of banning me the other day. You try to act like you know what I'm talking about and stop acting like a stuck-up jackass.

you said Jerry Stackhouse was better than Lebron. Comments like that deserve a temporary ban for stupidity. Im sorry if that seems stuck up to you. But some of your comments make me think you might have downs.

if the Heat manage a 3-peat 3 months off the NBA boards. hey, GOTTA keep posting on the Chiefs board. hoping our season'll be better than last year...

obviously he STILL managed to play. apparently he didn't get hurt ENOUGH...

but no worries. hey, they got the title,(just barely by the skin of their teeth) right? as a Heat fan(a real one and not a bandwagoner) you SHOULD be happy with the result. as much as i hate those guys i never held it against the real fans...

there is some truth to that. if a guy is on the court.. he's healthy. wade actually hurt the heat with his presence on the court at times in the playoffs.. then other times (usually right after a trip to the locker room) he played the Flash of old. I hope he gets those knees taken care of this offseason.. even if he has to go to Europe to do it.

I agree that it is hard. But i think youre discounting how ridiculously bad the Eastern conference is right now. Okay you got the Bulls and you got the Pacers. I dont think either of those teams gets out of the second right in the west and honestly im not convinced they win in round 1. Im not even sure they would grab home court in round 1 in the west. Take Miami out of the East... youre looking early 2000s style finals, where the true NBA finals was the WCF. If im ranking NBA teams in the west against the Pacers/bulls.. I go OKC/ Spurs/ Grizzlies for sure better than them. Probably Houston and Clippers too.. but an argument can be made around this level. Truth is, they are probably somewhere between the 6-8th seed fighting with Golden State for the final spots.

I know there is Heat hatred. Miami brought it on themselves. I like it. But look at it objectively... the East is a joke compared to the west. You have Miami, and little else.

@fluage, completely different procedure that will not help Wade's knee. It was a bone bruise not cartilage or tendons. Wade himself said that.

what? if he gets Kobe treatments aren't you scared the accusations will fly...?

Clearly it is not illegal for the NBA despite it not being FDA approved.
