According to Chris Mortensen the league is about to drop at least a 6 game ban on Von.

I guess you can't challenge Goodell

From what I have read, the suspension goes to 6 games and it is still just related to the drug issue. What the hell did they discover right before the appeal that would up the suspension and make an appeal worthless?

That is a huge suspension for drugs too.

Schefter and Mortenson are reporting that Von will definitely miss time. His camp is trying to negotiate the suspension from six games down to four. What happened?? This whole affair has been a frustrating mystery all along the way. Between this story and our injuries, it's been a very tough Summer for the Broncos!

Well at least the Broncos are playing a pretty easy offense in the Ravens for that first game. Other than the 75 yard touchdown play to Torrey Smith that offense has looked like one of the 5 worst in the NFL this preseason. Man Flacco looks lost and so do the receivers. Also maybe they should try to find a TE that can actually catch a ball.

It's only preseason don't get caught up in what happen in a few series. The offense will be fine.

I understand it is only preseason but there are certain things you look for. Flacco at least being half way accurate is one and he has been way off on some of his throws especially in the intermediate area. You also look for players beginning to at least understand the offense and well there were players completely lost on plays especially from the TE position. The other is who is Flacco going to throw to on 3rd down that when the pressure is on that he can trust and so far nobody has shown they can do that. Jones on his comeback route just stopped on Flacco's first interception and didn't even try to fight for the ball. He lacked the ability to do one of the easiest routes for any receiver.

I will give it to the Ravens in they should still have a decent run game but teams will figure out quickly they can stack the box on this team to contain the run game.

Got to give it to you for your confidence in your team. I guess we shall all see who is the real deal and who is the pretender.

Von was nonexistent in the playoff game last year and you guys still had your hands full. So long as I am admitting truths, I would be more comfortable with Von in the game than without him.

both offense scored over 30 points in that game not sure what you were watching, but it was like a ping pong match out there.

I think he was commenting towards the Ravens offense other than the 2 big plays was pretty well contained. Flacco only had around 200 yards passing without those 2 big plays (just to give you an idea of how crazy those plays were the Broncos had only given up 1 play all season over 50 yards long). Ray Rice had a pretty good game with 130 yards but there again it took him 30 carries to get to that number.

Anyway it is stupid for us to keep going round and round on this topic and just wait till September 5th and let our teams do the talking.

Actually the Broncos offense was nowhere near 30. They had 2 scores on special teams.

Without a pass rush, Bailey hobbled, and Rahim Moore still there it could be a long night for Denver. All depends how the rebuilt Ravens defense does and how the Broncos O'line holds up. I'm looking forward to this game. Should be a good one.

And it took two overtimes to decide the winner. Hands full. I did not say the defense shut down the ravens.

More specifically, Von was missing most of that game. For whatever reason Del Rio thought having the best pass rusher drop into coverage was a good idea.

If it wasn't' for the Denver special team the game would not have gone to over time, plus the Ravens put up 35 points in 4 quarters. If giving up 35 points is the defenses doing a good job, i'd hate to see what happen if the defenses does a bad job.

Seriously how many times do we need to have this stupid talk? Both teams had plays in the game that in most normal games would not happen. The Broncos had 2 special teams touchdowns but the Ravens had an interception returned for touchdown and 2 plays over 50 yards for touchdowns (again the Broncos had given up 1 play all season over 50 yards). Both teams did some things that they had not done all season.

Also he did not say the Bronco defense played well. Other than a couple of big plays though they did contain the Ravens defense. Such as without those 2 big plays again they would have only had 21 points on offense with a defensive touchdown to add to that. For a defense giving up 21 points isn't too bad for a game.

so saying the handled the ravens offense last year is saying the didn't play well....whatever dude, Broncos are going to get their asses kicked, in the first game of the season. IMO

You talk about the broncos defense being weak without Von, what are the Ravens going to do? Half their defense is new. You don't think that will affect them? You don't think "Mr. Elite" Flacco will struggle with several new receivers?

Must be wonderful to deny any issues in your own house.

Back to the actual topic...

I'm EXTREMELY disappointed this has unfolded the way it has. The past 10 days I was really thinking this suspension was gonna be lifted. Now we come to find out that it could be up to 6 friggin' games? Serious bullshit. I'm tired of all this wondering shit. When are they gonna break out the full details of this damn mess?

Not to mention we just got mauled (I know preseason) and we had a shit ton of injuries. Can we take the rest of the preseason off?
