The Oakland Leprechauns are down 2-1 at the end of the 4th. They had the bases loaded no outs in the bottom fourth and then two pop outs in a row and then Coco flies out. Ah love it!
Dude's been in the minors for 6 years, should know better than to go up there hacking at high fastballs trying to hit a home run.

Yeah but it's hard to come up in that situation and all you can think about is it might be your last AB for a week. When you are getting no production from a position why not plug someone else in for a few games and see if they can get comfortable or get something going. If not, you have lost out on nothing. Pinch hitting, or getting a few AB's a month is tough for both sides.
He's still just 22.
Would rather see Beltre get a shot in CF/LF over Murphy, and move Soto and Moreland up 1 spot each...
but not going to start a debate about it, just my opinion
23, 24 in November.

My bad. Still pretty young. Pinch hitting is a tough gig.
Technically he wasn't pinch hitting as he'd entered the game as a pinch runner for Cruz ... but tough spot for anyone to come up with 2 out and the winning run at 3b in the bottom of the 9th. He'll do better next time.
Yes why I call them the Oakland Leprechauns. Routine pop fly lost in the sun and a run scores.
Nothing came out of Berkman's talk with the FO, apparently going to try to swing in the cage today. WHY?! Just swallow your pride and go away.

Probably wanted $3mil of the $4.4mil due him and TEX didn't agree. They will run him through waivers next week and when MIA puts a bid in for him he'll be forced to retire.
Screw it, let him take BP today and then 60 day DL him, citing not suitable progress
Problem is you got to keep him on the payroll on the DL. The advantage though is you keep him from all of a sudden being a Lazarus and signing with STL for the post season.
