We need a bat. Not pitching.

Someone that should be cheap would be Marlon Byrd without giving any prospects of significance. I think he would be a good addition and a right handed bat at that. Other than that I don't know who they will bring in with significance without paying a pretty good price for it.

And I am sure he did that on purpose. That is his style and I like it.

You hate him if he's on the other team but love him if he's on yours. There's no question the guy wants to win.

Carried the bat a ways down the first baseline then flipped it to really show out. Remember the hit in Anaheim where he was really giving it to the fans there, he really loves pissing on the angels

I think next time he hits a clutch HR he uses the bat as a stick pony and gallops half way down the first base line.

If Colorado can fall a couple more games back I'm hoping cuddyer might be had. Byrd is another option but so far the mets swear he isn't available.

Haven't heard anything. He was given an assignment at the Braves-Rockies game tonight and tomorrow night, but that's all I know.

I really wish I could get season tickets... we'd win 95% of our home games. When I was a kid we lost every one I went too. Now the past 4 seasons we're 11-1 in games I go to (and I've only gone to games with good pitching matchups i.e. Verlander, Greinke, Weaver, Felix) and ironically the only time we lost was when I went to a game last year where Brett Cecil shut us out. Brett is a good friend of mine and he gave me tickets to go. We graduated from the same high school in Maryland and I was even at his draft party. But out of all the good pitchers I've seen us play, the ONLY time we lost was against Cecil. Its negatively hilarious

I guess Cecil is showing everyone why he is pretty good though this season... despite being a set up man

Kinda the same story with me. The only game we've ever lost was the game Dutch pitched opening weekend last year. I was at 2 of the three Red Sox games when they swept them and was in the stands for two walk off wins. Imagine if we both went to all home games!

Seriously we'd never have a slump. If I lived closer to Arlington I'd seriously consider it. I just like it when we win. When we lose everyone including myself freaks out

Wash said David "smoked that ball". It looked like a routine double play to me.

Further proof that wash sees what he wants to see. This is a big part of why he needs to go.

Edwin Encanarcion just hit a 2 run homer. I would love if we could just get him last second

Giancarlo Stanton drew 28 unintentional walks in his rookie season of 2010. He's drawn 25 unintentional walks in July.
