Seems like Soto has been having a lot of good at bats lately. Even in the 2nd inning with 2 guys on and 2 outs he hit the ball solid to the ss.

He needs to stay in the lineup while he's hot.

"The Rangers try to even the series against the Angels and snap a five-game losing streak"
"Garza finally loses: Matt Garza's six-game winning streak ended as the Rangers' offense struggled again."

-- Todd Wills in ESPN rapid reaction

He was in a rush to get home. :)

Bless you where do I find it. Sorry to be a bother but I would enjoy the chance to ignore him.

Soto doesn't play too often, but when he does, he is on fire. I think its time to start taking advantage of that. The Rangers should keep swapping AJ and Soto at DH and Catcher- keeps the bats in the lineup and gives AJ a little more rest.

Many times it can be but it can also kick start something. The game last year against Anaheim turned the season forth both teams after Texas' walkoff win in game 3 of that 4 game series here. I thought that was a momentum shifting game.

I agree. Some may say it is a myth but a huge win like tonight tends to relax the players that were playing tight. It is a reinforcement to the players that they COULD BE the next one to make a difference with one at bat.

Hopefully wash's pea brain can see that.

And 0 outs in the bottom of the 9th of a tie game. That is a no brainier.

... seventy-five times over the past two years with no outs in the first inning Elvis has been called on to bunt with Kinsler at 1b ... just to get Kinsler to 2b.

... so are we to believe that in the bottom of the ninth with Cruz at 1b with the winning run that Murphy didn't get the bunt sign?

But consider this ... in his career Murphy has a TOTAL of 5 Sac Bunts. Last one was in 2011.

I don't think Murphy knows how to bunt.

I also appreciate the team player that Frasor is for taking it on the chin a few nights ago because of some irresponsible teammates and coming back out pitching strong.

If you piece together some of the efforts you start doing better. We are seeing that now...hopefully. I will also say even though Soto struck out on his previous at bat, he had an 11 pitch battle that upped Weaver's pitch count so we could get closer to the woeful Angels pen. So even though he struck out, he contributed.

How about that Giants game against the undefeated Pats in 2007? Yes they lost that game but they said that the game really fired them up and gave them a huge momentum build after that game which ultimately helped them win the super bowl that season.

Agree. He usually has been having a good approach at the plate.

I for one am a big believer in momentum. It can carry teams much farther than their talent alone....case in point, those stinkin A's and the 2011 Cardinals.
