Some players really value money over winning. It is sad.

Dallas probably would of went and got him once Dwight choose Houston/LA over them.

Good pickup by Charlotte but terrible decision by AL.

Not sure what this does for Charlotte? Now they are the 13th best team in the East. Only way they become relevant is by landing a superstar in the draft.

Would of??? LOL

I think it was a solid decision by Jefferson. The Cats at least have a solid young nucleus in place. Dallas doesn't. And if turns out Al doesn't like it there, he can opt out after two years.

Good move for parity.

In other news, Charlotte plans to amnesty Tyrus Thomas. Thank God.

"If no one picks up Tyrus Thomas on amnesty waivers, Bobcats' signing of Al Jefferson could cost them $59.6 mil over the next three seasons."

So what are they looking at...

Kemba
Ben Gordon
MKG
Cody Zeller (?)
Al Jefferson

Best case scenario, they could challenge for a playoff seed. Not sure what the point of assembling this team is.

Funny to think the greatest ever can't figure out how to put a winning team together. I think this is a good signing.

5. Jefferson
4. Zeller
3. MKG
2. Henderson/Gordon
1. Kemba

I mean it's coming together.

It looks decent on paper but AL Jefferson is the kind of guy you want to be your 2nd best player. He has been the best guy in Utah and Minnesota and it hasn't really done much for him. Cody Zeller is going to have to play like a young Pau Gasol for this to work.

With hardly any defense coming from your 4 and 5 along with minimal 3pt shooting with the rest of the starting 5 isn't a recipe for challenging for a playoff spot.

I mean Kemba, Jefferson and Henderson isn't a bad combination. I'd say Kemba is your best player.

Agreed. I would project 25-30 wins from this group. Just enough to make winning the lottery improbable.

I never watched Charlotte play last year because they are, well Charlotte, but Kemba improved a ton after his rookie year. Still scratching my head on the Zeller pick. Does Jordan think Jefferson puts them over the top as a playoff team? If they had taken McLemore in the spot they would be in much better shape.

Jefferson is very ovrrated. One of those "good stats on crappy team type of guys". If you add up his days in Boston, Minnesota and Utah, he hasn't exactly won a ton of games.

One of the bigs who for the amount of shots he takes, almost never gets to the line. Its a terrible ratio. He's not a great passer, turns it over a lot and is not a good defender.

At 14 mm per year, I just don't get it.

Bingo. He is a somewhat efficient scorer and he rebounds well, but like you said too many deficiencies to be worth more than 8-9 Million.

I guess Charlotte said they can't ever win the lottery being the shittiest team in the league so they signed Al and are now trying their luck winning the lottery as the 5th or 6th shittiest team in the league.
