They seem like they are pretty accurate too...I think the raiders was more of a jab at the Raiders haha.

Honestly I think they might fold up or make some much needed rule changes to the game to increase fan popularity. I think the rules changes are more likely and a new commissioner would be just the person to do that.

IIRC viewer ship has increased a lot since last year which would also be since that article was written, let's hope it is a scare tactic to get people to enjoy women's basketball!!

To be honest, this may not sound right but I lost interest when Swoopes came out and they treated her like she was a hero, nevermind the fact she was married at the time with a child and left him for the ugliest "woman" I've ever seen. I am at a loss for words. Not sure I understood all of this. I can understand the negative connotations surrounding being involved in an untruthful marriage...

but a few things:

First, people change and evolve, maybe not you. Who knows what she went through to make her feel suppressed into a life of "normality". That is what is wrong with society and yourself, not the person.

2nd, I doubt you have any knowledge of their working relationship and the mutual benefits that even their possibly fake marriage had and to be perfectly blunt it is none of your or my business.

3rd, Who she marries whether you find attractive or not is really nothing that should concern you. She found happiness and you condemn her? What if when you were growing up every one told you being straight was wrong or immoral or it just was not accepted?

Finally, have you ever watched a game? I have not once heard them mention someones sexuality. I suppose you think I should find it offensive when they show an NBA players wife or gf of the week in the stands? Or their mother which is forcing their straight only sex down my throat? What about the NBA and sponsored pro gay tolerance ads. Have you ever seen a commercial sponsored by the WNBA for pro gay or even gay tolerance?

I could really go on for years about equal rights and how ignorant and hypocritical people are preaching acceptance as long as you are like them but I will end it with this.

"Gayed out"? Are you fucking kidding me? You are a complete fucking moron and a caveman of evolution and equal rights. Finally there is a sport that accepts people and their life choices and you condemn them for being "gayed out"? You do not want your kids to be a part of the equal rights movement so you take it out on a sport that sort of promotes equal rights in the way that they do not condemn or run from it like gay is a disease you can catch? What are you Neo Nazi? Westboro member? Hypocrite bible thumper? Be proud of yourself, you are the problem and you should be ashamed of yourself for not wanting your kids to be involved in equal rights. Personally, I don't see why who someone sleeps with matters. I think that we know waaaaaay too much about the personal lives of many of these athletes.

I don't care what someone does in their personal life beyond how it effects their play in the game that I am watching. I really don't see how who someone sleeps with effects an athletes in game performance and outside of that performance, I don't see why it matters one way or the other.

As to watching the WNBA: it is a different sport in many ways than the NBA!! Are you going to see the high flying dunks and athleticism that you see in the NBA? Of course not. But if you enjoy basketball and can enjoy a game that relies more on being fundamentally sound than on the amazing athleticism of its' players, then it's entertaining in its' own way.

And one thing you don't have to worry about in the WNBA is seeing a player who is being paid millions of dollars cry about "touches" or sit out an entire season when they didn't have to because they weren't "mentally ready"!!
