I see Dallas winning the East because, IMHO, that division is shit. I don't see Kelly succeeding in Philly, the Giants don't excite me, and I'm not convinced that RG3 can have the type of year that he had last year, especially with the knee injury.

As for Pittsburgh, they do play the NFC North but no one honestly knows hows that going to end up. GB still has a shitty defense, Chicago is old and has 1 WR, Minnesota can't expect AP to duplicate last season and Ponder is extremely suspect, and Detroit is Detroit. They've added pieces but I'm not sold on Schwartz as the one to get them over the hump. Their non-division conference games include Miami/Buffalo/Tennessee at home and they have Oakland, New England, and the Jets on the road. I could really see them going 11-5/12-4 and surprising the hell out of people. Their losses last year were also extremely close losing by a FG to Oakland/Tenn/Balt/Dallas/Cincy. That 8-8 isn't as bad as it looks.

The NFC East is wide open, I'll give you that. I won't put my money on the Cowboys myself. As for the Steelers ..they just lost several players like Wallace etc. Most likely for the best in the long run, but they are in a division that includes the SB Champs and a up coming team like the Bengals. At best I see them treading water. The best news the Steelers have is their OL my get better with good health this year. Bell may turn out to be a better RB then what they had last year...or not. No way way do I see them in the Superbowl.

I'm not laughing. That's not bad at all and it could happen that way except for the Seahawks in the Superbowl part. That aint happening. It will be either SF or Atlanta.

I just see the panthers and Saints being better this year that take some wins away from Alt. This cause them to fall out of the playoffs, not because there a bad team but it comes down to tie breaks and it just doesn't fall there way. Insead of attacking me, how about telling me why you think Alt should retain there spot. Steven Jackson a great player but has miles and might not have much in the tank just as turner seemed to be on fumes throughout the season. Also I don't feel the falcons D is untouchable allowing both the saints and panthers being able to put points on the board. If memory serves the saint/Alt games where close, down to the final sec, so who's to say those don't become losses.

Now looking at there schedule it looks favorable against the bills, Jets, and Miami but doesn't make what I said crazy.

Atlanta is better than NO, it's just that simple. Ryan has improved tremendously and will continue to improve. We could use a better D but I still think we are better than NO and far better than the Panthers. Panthers go 8-8, that's not a bad season for them. They are headed in the right direction but I don't think their ship has arrived yet.

Probably won't be Seattle in the SB, but if I was to choose between SF and Atlanta (I hate SF for obvious reasons), I would have to pick SF because I don't trust Atlanta to do anything in the playoffs, kinda like the Bengals. They have been getting there, but they can't do anything once they get there. Now if that is one person to blame for each team, multiple people, or the whole teams....I can't say. Atlanta and Cincinnati just suck once they get to the playoffs and I don't trust either team to do anything. That is just my opinion of course.

I understand where you're coming from. But believe me when I tell you that Atlanta will not suck in the playoffs continually. That is not something that is going to last forever. As far as Cinci goes, I know next to nothing about them.

NFC
1. Seattle 13-3
2. GreenBay 12-4
3. Saints 11-5
4. Giants 10-6
5. 49ers 11-5
6. Atlanta 10-6

AFC
1. Denver 12-4
2. Houston 11-5
3. New England 10-6
4. Cincinnati 10-6 ( they take another step forward )
5. Baltimore 10-6 ( lost head to head to Bengals )
6. Indianapolis 9-7

As you see i do not have the aging elderly Steelers making it. They take another step backwards not forwards this up-coming season.

NFC WC ROUND
Atlanta @ NO, 35-41 NO Wins shoot out
San Fran @ New York, 20-24 New York Giants beat the 49ers again

AFC WC ROUND
Indiana @ New England, 32-28 Luck out performs Brady and Indy's defense out performs NE's Defense
Baltimore @ Cincinnati, 24-31 The Bengals when for the 3rd time this season against the Ravens.

NFC DIVISIONAL ROUND
Giants @ Seahawks 14-34, 12th man cause 5 False starts.
Saints @ Greenbay 35-33, Brees out performs Rogers, both teams have defensive issues and with injuries it becomes an even larger issue.

AFC DIVISIONAL ROUND
Indianapolis @ Denver, 17-35 Manning schools Luck.
Cincinnati @ Houston, 21-31 Houston takes that next step.

NFC CHAMPIONSHIP
Saints @ Seahawks, 27-41 Seattle explodes behind the 12th man. Home field advantage is key

AFC CHAMPIONSHIP
Houston @ Denver, 13-34 Houston is out played in every aspect of the game. Manning shows why he is still one of if not the best QB in the NFL.

SUPERBOWL
Denver Vs Seattle
Nope not picking a winner

I see no reason Seattle wouldnt be good. They have a ton of young talent and got better in the offseason. Now their schedule will be tougher this year and MOST 2nd year QB's actually take a step back in production but Seattle should be a 10-11 win team IMO. Absolutely no reason they shouldnt be. Seattle, SF, GB and Atlanta are probably 4 of the 5 best teams in the NFL IMO

That would make me sick as hell seeing Houston beat us for the 3rd consecutive year in the playoffs. We are already becomign Houston's whipping boy, this would solidify it. I don't like Houston going all the way back to the old Oilers days.

I would be happy as hell knowing Cincinnati won their first playoff game in forever, but losing to HOUSTON would trump that one playoff win. I would almost rather lose to Baltimore in round 1 than lose to Houston in round 2. I know that sounds stupid, and it is, but losing to Houston in the playoffs for 3 consecutive years just would be too much to handle.

You do not see the Seahawks making the playoffs even as a wildcard? Mmmmm we'll see. I think it's more likely the Lions miss the playoffs then the Seahawks. Seahawks were good last year and then loaded up in the off season.

The Lions on the other hand are in a division that will be won by the Packers IMO and then the rest are neck and neck for second place.

I really struggled with Seattle beating out San Fran for the west and NO for the final wild card but I basically told myself I'll throw out the Lions and Saints getting in because of tie breakers over the Seahawks. I do think Seattle will be good and I think the NFC will be really good this season and a good team or 2 will be left out. As far as the Lions, our core group is growing up and I liked our offseason a lot. I think it will be a good season.

Why does everybody think Seattle is going to be so good? I just don't see it.

They were 30 seconds away from advancing to the NFC Championship game, as you know, and with Russell Wilson fully entrenched as the starter and getting the full playbook at his disposal this year, it's hard to think they won't be better than last year. That's not even factoring in the Harvin trade and what he adds to the offense in terms of versatility and explosiveness. If there's a question about this year's team, it's the defensive line. It was addressed heavily in the off-season, but events and uncertainties since then have left it more of a question mark, even if just temporarily, than I would have preferred.

Other than that, what makes you question why everybody thinks the Seahawks are going to be so good? It's easy to say that you don't see it, but it would help us understand why if you gave us some reasons.

I'm glad to see so much faith in Wilson. But I am still skeptical. We'll see. I think they make the playoffs just not ahead of SF.

If there is reason to be skeptical about Wilson, then there is plenty of reasons to be skeptical about Kaepernick and RG3 as well.

The Cowboys? You got to jerking our chain! No way no how. The Panthers? You looking to get laugh at?
I picked the Panthers, as well. NFC South is historically a division that is in constant upheaval. If you look at the Panthers, Cam Newton is a top 5 player from his draft, Luke Kuechly is a top 5 player from his draft and Star Lotuleilei is almost undoubtedly going to be a top 5 player from his draft. These kind of things add up eventually. I know the Seahawks' relevance has come from drafting well. Its not hard to see the same things coming from Carolina.

I'm also in the 'there is no wrong answer in the NFC' camp.
