Looks can be deceiving - I have met people who looked and sound educated and were well dressed, but turned out to be complete pricks and stupid. I have also met people that started out as confrontational, and answering them with kind words and being polite found them to be really decent and nice people. I was really glad that I difused that confrontation later on when I found out he was a black belt in karate and could have kicked the living crap out of me too - lol.
