If the SEC and B1G go to 20 teams, then the B12 will need to look to the MWC or CUSA teams in its footprint (eg, SMU) for teams. Maybe Louisville and Cincinnati if the SEC doesn't want them (the B1G won't). The B12 only got WVU because the B1G and SEC didn't want them (no TV markets and academics).

Yep -- If the SEC and/or B1G go to 20, the Big12 won't have a lot of great options. You figure 6 more schools for each conference, so you can go ahead and throw just about all of the following schools out as they'd be taken by one of those conferences:

---schools who would certainly get picked up---
Notre Dame
Pittsburgh
UVA
UNC
VT
NC State
Georgia Tech

---schools that very well could get picked up---
Syracuse
Boston College
Miami
Clemson
FSU

Feels appropriate, the B1G is watering down their brand.

Am I the only one that thinks a 16 team conference is illogical? The CFB season only consist of 12 games. How would this work? How would one team honestly win their conference?

they'd more than likely move to a "pod" system... 4 divisions of 4 teams that play within their pod and then against 2 other pods that rotate...

Am I the only one who thinks the pod system is retarded and will fail miserably?

And this is why expansion sucks. I don't want Wisconsin to play Rutgers and Maryland every year, I want them to play Michigan, MSU, Iowa and Nebraska more often.

What makes you so sure about this? This is a pretty popular thought, although it always seems to stem from hearsay and there has been no such precedent.

Whose it going to be?.....GT?

Word from calls today is that another current #ACC team will announce a move with 7-10 days to the #B1G. This would be a HUGE domino.

bold, smart move by B1G .. if they've approved and invited .. GT is as good as gone.

a) Money money (travel to/from ATL will not be a big deal)
b) Never ever going to the SEC
c) Too much instability in the ACC
d) B1G academic rep > Big 12 (which is GT's only other option)
e) Window of opportunity will not be open indefinitely like it would be for Notre Dame or UNC

If this is true then Delaney is quite tactful at continuing to pick at an open wound.
