Dumb article. UNC isn't going to leave Duke. Georgia Tech would be a dumb add because they are far inferior to Georgia and does not really bring the Georgia market, plus they would be an island into themselves.

I can't see KU leaving the Big 12. Though I wonder about the writer saying KU football is nonexistent. KU is in the top 50 for all time wins in football, something Northwestern and Indiana aren't even close to, so what does that mean for those two schools future in the B1G...just a thought.

Pure conjecture -- but if Kansas got an invite to the B1G today .. they would be gone tomorrow .. There are FEW teams in the Big 12 or ACC that would turn down an invite to the B1G IMO .. I think that Mizzou would even give it a second thought.

Even though i hate the idea of 16 team conferences, id like that move. Could even make a nice east/west split.

Not unless OU President Dave Boren dies. He has stated that OU will never be in the SEC as long as he is president.

Out of that list...I dont see NC going, Kansas why would they it wouldnt make sense. I would want Va Tech for sure, but that means Virginia would be tailing behind, which would be fine. But if there are other options to consider, but I would love Va Tech for sure!

stability, academic prestige, research partnerships with other AAU members, more $$$, no Longhorn network, better basketball programs .. I can't think of a good reason why Kansas WOULDN'T want to leave for the B1G .. as I've said before, there are very few programs in the ACC or Big12 that wouldn't leave for the B1G if given the opportunity.
