he only threw the ball like 20 times last year... not surprising his picks went up...

If you're going to reply to me you need to adress the facts. Not some stat you've pulled out of thin air.

He threw the ball 157 times last year and completed 85 of them.

Run along and come back when you've done enough homework to contribute useful info.

If you would have told me last friday that Braxton will turn the ball over 3 times against MSU I would have said that the Buckeyes would get beat.

Braxton turned the ball over 3 times against MSU
and
the Buckeyes won by 1 miraculous point

goes to show that you never know until you know

Go Buckeyes

Mich St offense is anemic tho.

I'm surprised tOSU allowed them 16 pts. Goes to show what turnovers can do.

Don't see you guys getting that lucky again, the would be back-back years against tOSU you make a second half out of nowhere comeback and back-back weeks of doing that in conference play.

Braxton Miller stays healthy and causes problems for Nebraska.

Has nothing to do with luck... It has everything to do with Pelini not getting the team prepared and the team coming out flat and making mistakes and taking two qtrs to get rolling..

Nebraska was not lucky last week- Nebraska is a far superior team to wisconsin but wisconsin was far better prepared for the game.

I believe Nebraska is a better team than Ohio State also, but Ohio State has a far superior coaching staff..

I'll take either Martinez or Miller
I'll take our RB's over anyone in the country
I'll take our WR's over anyone in the country

And our defense has been playing much better as the year goes on...

If Nebraska gives tOSU the short field (<30yds) more than twice they will lose.

IF Nebraska can figure out Miller the Huskers will win. Nobody has figured him out yet, so I think tOSU will win a close one. I HOPE Nebraska will come out firing on all cylinders and win in a blow out.

Agreed. If Nebraska gets going early there are probably only a handful of teams in the country that can catch up with them.

The Buckeyes have to limit the damage #8 Abdullah can do for Nebraska

most importantly if Nebraska's O-Line is average then they are going to have problems, if Ohio State can rush four and drop seven I like our chances

in this game I am not concerned about how many yards are given up I just don't want the Buckeyes defense to give up touchdowns, they have to make Nebraska settle for fg

Nebraska is historically an up this week down next week team. No body walked away from that game Saturday happy. They knew they left their best game in the locker room and were lucky to walk away with a w.
So they are recovering from a down week right now.
With that said I think history shows Nebraska comes out ready to play against tOSU and with all our weapons on offense it is enough to stay ahead.

I think Braxton breaks free. We still don't know how to corral a dual threat but it is only enough to keep it a close game not to win.

Nebraska by less than a touchdown.

LOL ok sure... considering i wasn't making an argument countering your claim, i didn't realize i needed to back it up with stats...

as you've so cleverly asserted, he threw the ball a whopping 157 times last year... with four interceptions, averaging 1 interception per 39.25 pass attempts... and averaged roughly 12 attempts per game...

this year, he's thrown it 121 times through 5 games, with three interceptions... averaging 1 interception per 40.3 pass attempts and throwing it 24.2 times per game...

so your assertion that he's throwing more interceptions is accurate, however his passing attempts have increased as well, by double... so it is reasonable to expect more interceptions...

also, i don't see the need for the condescending tone nor attitude... it strikes me as extremely disney...

They're all so bad in the big10. I just can't give a shit this year except for hoping UF plays one of 'em in a bowl.

I haven't predicted a loss for Nebraska in...................well, my entire lifetime I'm pretty sure.

I'm the one who picked Ohio State in a blowout. Like I said after the UCLA game, I'm skeptical. I don't believe in this coaching staff UNTIL they can prove to me that they can get up for games like this.

They didn't change my skepticism last week. Every single year since Bo has been here, we've been doing the same thing as fans. We drink just enough of the kool-aid to where we talk ourselves into believing that something has changed going into next week.

Not this time. I will believe this shit when I see it.

With that said, I also picked Ohio State in a blowout in hopes of a reverse jinx of some sort :dhd:

Much better bucksfan. Far more informative and factual than "he only threw it 20 times last year"

Another interesting stat is that he and Martinez have the same # of attempts this year with Martinez having a better completion percentage and only one INT as opposed to Miller's three.

Why do you suppose Miller is throwing the ball so much more this year?

Also without his rushing yds, Ohio St's rushing game would be (for all practical purposes) non existent.

Miller 90 for 655
Hall AND Hyde combined 75 for 384

Are there some O'line woes?

I think the answer to the "zone read" this week is NOT TO READ IT.

Never buy the fake, always go after Braxton.
