not sure if you saw my post about their record when they score 3 (or less) versus 4 runs (or more), just illustrates the importance of what you just stated

The difference between those 2 numbers is overwhelming with this team or underwhelming when we score 3 runs

Gross lack of fundamentals on this team. There is zero ability to manufacture runs and play small ball. More specifically, their inability to just put the ball in play with 0 or 1 outs and runners on base is especially embarrassing. Getting a hit in the majors is difficult. Putting the bat on the ball and just putting it in play is not, especially when facing mediocre relievers. There are high school kids who could ground out or fly out with 0 or 1 outs. But the Rangers strike out. They have zero clue what a productive out is. They don’t even attempt to move runners over to third by hitting it to the right side. No bunting guys over. Nothing.

What you say is true but Bochy does nothing to force small ball. Alexander was extremely tough on our lefties so why not push the envelope with a bunt. If Garcia is out at home you still would have Haggerty at 3rd. You would think being a NL manager that would be in his DNA.

Swinging max out of his feet out of control
Missing a 2 strike approach
All out approach and crazy misses.
Hate to see it. He is losing value IMO

Carter provides a definite spark

Marcus had a huge late inning AB and double. That was the ultimate difference IMO
