Bobby Witt is a great player. Riley Greene is very good. Twins have some good players.

Make no mistake- the best player in the AL Central is Jose Ramirez. He does everything.

He’s been the best player in the division for years.

Only mr. Hockey would disagree.

Guardians are going through a very tough stretch of the schedule right now......

Twins, Tigers, Dodgers, little let up with the Angels who are actually playing really well, then the Yanks.

that's 5 series in a row against 4 very good teams and one team that is hot right now in the Angels. After that- Houston, Cincy, San Fran, Seattle- which is not exactly easy. They need to just stay afloat until mid-June--- they might slip to 4th in the division but just keep it close.

Right around then reinforcements will either have come up, or will be on the way- Bieber in the rotation- Walters, Stephen, Sabowski, Enright in the bullpen- Fry and DeLauter- maybe even Brito eventually in the lineup.

Guardians roster is going to turn over at least 30% in the next 6 weeks. Probably more. Guardians do not have close to their best team right now and are still playing pretty decently. Just keep your head above water and wait for the reinforcements.

I expect the Guardians to have a very good 2nd half. I expect them to make a move at the deadline due to their very deep farm system from a 2-3 recent very good and deep drafts. I expect them to get a lot of help from returning injuries- especially to pitching. Schedule is a fair bit easier in the 2nd half than first half.

If they make a deal I think the most likely positions to look at will be SS, 2B, RF.

There are guys that have been in the bullpen right now that I don't even know much about - Festa, Kent, I don't think much of Junis, etc.

Stephen and Walter are 2 potential high leverage arms with some great freaking stuff.

I like Cecconi's potential- but he goes from the Tigers (where he pitched well) to his next 2 starts against the Dodgers and Yanks. That is a tough 3 game stretch for any starter let alone a young guy like Cecconi.

yah....Skubal v. Allen......were not gonna finish that sweep under just about any circumstances. Tigers are really good. They are like one bat and one RP from being a total force. Not saying they arent really good right now.

Cleveland pitchers today threw almost twice as many pitches (per inning) as Detroit's/Skubal. I wonder how uncommon that is.

I think Witt's better going off the last 1.5 years, but Ramirez is unquestionably the best player in the division over the last decade. If he isn't a HOFer yet, he's awfully close IMO.

Feel like will be another one of those moves where they say the move is bringing up or bringing back a guy coming off the IL (like Bieber). Frye, too, but how much can he help since can only DH which just means Manzardo or Santana has to sit.

No doubt could still make some noise but as always just so sad like other 2 teams here the owner has no will to win.

Missed end but saw last pitch was 102 MPH? Holy shit.

Most amazing if I heard correctly was this was his 1st start pitching into 9th?

Guards have an upcoming series vs. the Yanks early next week.

After that series the Guards will be done with the Yanks, Dodgers, Phillies----- Twins are yet to play any of those teams I am pretty sure.

I am telling you- Guards are gonna be a little rough until mid-late June- then a lot of injured guys are gonna be/come back and the schedule is much easier in the 2nd half.

I hope they make a deadline move for a middle infielder....other than that- Bieber, Walters, Stephen will be 3 nice arms to add. Enright looks good.

Its gonna be a 2nd half team this year--- last year was kind of the opposite.

Skubal now rocking a 99/7 K/BB ratio in 75.2 innings. He was awesome in 2024, but he might be even better this year.

Still one more year of arbitration. Detroit will fork up a ton of money on their players unlike CLE. Get a deal done now. He is the type of pitcher that still has nasty stuff even if his fastball isn't electric but even then he can go till he is 35. You just never know with pitchers...one injury could destroy that trajectory but if there is one guy that is worth it...it's Skubal

its gonna be so expensive to keep him. Even though its an AL Central team- I hope they keep him. It is good for the sport. I think he wants to be there.

I just hope he doesnt get some insane Soto like offer and is basically compelled to either take a massive discount or go somewhere he really doesnt want to go but the money is just so vastly different the union basically makes him do it.

Feels like the Tigers should have been working on that extension last year or in the offseason
