Couple of more things - I did not recognize Joe Pantoliano from that episode. The person in the show sounded familiar, I just did not recognize him. Now I see it. Great job for 5 minutes. Beautiful scenery, I'd go up there to do a 5 minute scene.

The Zamfir (Master Of The Pan Flute) album being in Ellie's collection.

When Ellie asked Joel to play something on the guitar, I was really hoping he would launch into George Michael's Faith.

lol @ people bitching that the Pearl Jam song did not exist at the time of the breakout, therefore it shouldn't here....It's not a historical drama.

If the show finishes this season like I expect
Is Ellie and co. even going to be in season 3? Or in it as much as Abby was this year?
I dont quite get the pacing. While I appreciate it generally moves along and we dont have episodes of nothing happening, I think the first season could have easily been 10 episodes instead of 9 and think this one could have been too, instead of 7.

Checks the credits to see if the producers of the last Game of Thrones seasons are involved here... ;)

Maybe we need to get the runners of this show and TWD together and be like "zombie show producers... find a middle ground!"

Guitar playing makes alot more sense I realize why I'm tougher on this season as i watched andor before and that was so good that I judged this harder but seems I'm not totally off on how this has gone ... 7 episodes? And to leave it like that? Makes it hard to invest into the show

I'm also tiring of shows doing cliffhangers like this ..

Makes me lose interest much like stranger things

I really loved the whole season and the season ender last night. It's really just one season split into two parts. That's my only complaint, would have liked to seen it end last night and like a summer break and then the rest.

But I'm really interested to see the next season from Abby's perspective. Will be cool to come to the same point and then see what happens next.

Also, the boat scene was so well done and SO scary. So much of this season has matched the intensity of the gameplay.

Only bad moment - the brief crash on the island where they "leave her" just before she is executed and run off. Why have that part at all? Served zero purpose and she already saw the Wolves heading off in the boats so the explosions she looked back at would have moved forward the plot without the silliness of that narrow island escape.

the episode flash back with Joel was one of the better episodes. The acting is excellent. I do not like the lack of physical form of the actress that plays Abby but her acting is pretty great so I can get past the fitness level (I still have a problem as well with Robert Pattinsons physique in The Batman)

I really liked it too. I have a few issues, not the "quiet" parts of the season - they generally really worked for me. I might have held up introducing Bernard and some of the other factions players until next year when they'd be in it and explained more. Knowing the story it didn't bug me, but I cannot help but wonder if I'd feel the same not knowing it.

I agree about crash part, at first I thought "wow, they are really changing it up". Then nope, just a brief detour. Not sure what purpose that served. I guess to show that the people she almost risked her life to save earlier, are not so great either.

Lol did Joel ever teach Ellie how to swim? In the game he did. When the wave it and it went dark I thought we were getting another flashback.

Cliffhangers suck lol. I was pretty sure it was coming though. I dont know so not a spoiler, but wouldn't be amazed if that scene is not resolved until the end of next season.

Blabber mouth Catherine O'Hara did pretty much confirm what I wondered in a previous post

had to look it up as I kept thinking it was the Queen Elizabeth Theatre

Was the theater where Ellie and Dina hide out a real theater?

The lobby is a set on a stage and the exterior was a set on the back lot. But once we pass through the lobby and go into the auditorium, that's the Orpheum Theater in downtown Vancouver. It is so similar to what's in the game.

The Orpheum was where my grade 12 highschool graduation ceremonies were held.

Not sure if i mentioned before, side note, might be interesting, probably not lol - the actor that plays Jesse is relatively local and I worked with his sister for years. She's really nice. When she mentioned her brother was an actor and got a big role on Netflix's Beef I looked him up. The only person I saw with her last name was an extra and I thought "sure that's cool, but big role?". I did not know he used a stage name.

She quit last year. Her and her sister were opening a café. I think seeing her brother have success doing what he wanted inspired her and her sister. Hopefully it works out.

same on the Orpheum grad for me.

other locations ... filming derelict city blocks in Nanaimo makes sense ... set designers didnt have to do much work :pound: ... https://www.cntraveler.com/story/the-last-of-us-season-two

Hey, a friend of a friend sent me an exclusive clip from the next season of TLOU. It's part of Abby's origin story. It sets everything up.

there is no way Ill avoid the spoiler if they are sticking to the game. I follow too many gaming channels on social media that the algorithm will eventually send me the game spoiler.
