Leaping into the stands is already banned...with 1 exception.
Jerry should consider having this one banned… it’d suit me.They can't bring this crap up for a vote every year. They did it twice and it failed twice. There should be a rule like a three strikes and you're out rule or something. It gets annoying
Personally I wish that WAS Zeke's last play with the Cowboys!Jerry should consider having this one banned… it’d suit me.
This isn’t rugby. Do you even know football if you don’t understand how forward progress works? If the offense pushes the ball ten yards up and the defense ends the push and reverses it twelve yards back, does it result in a two yard loss? Are they going to allow the defense to carry the ball runner all the way back for a safety now? When did rugby creep into footbal???

Doesn’t want football to approximate rugbyHey, if the offense can push a guy forward as far as they can, why can't the defense push the runner back into the endzone? Do away with forward progress and make it equitable!!!
What a load of garbage. People just want defense to have the same shot as offense.
Everybody can use the tush push. Many have tried but only the Eagles have perfected it. It’s science. What a load of garbage. People just want defense to have the same shot as offense.
Eagles offense would still be rockstars with a normal QB sneak
So they’re gonna try and ban it a 3rd time?Apparently 22 voted to ban the play but the NFL requires 24 out of 32 votes to ban it. Still, the vote number suggests a likely rule change in the not too distant future.
For clarity i'm against the offense being able to pull, push, or similarly assist the ball-carrier. I'm not particularly bothered by the safety implications or which teams are good at it. For me it detracts from the NFL as a spectacle. I want to see speed, skill, power, or trickery. This play isn't that.
He reportedly got a little carried away with the wet dream stuff and Troy Vincent of the league office (a former Eagle and Philly high school star) had to tell him that wasn't politically correct, noting there were women present.
3rd, 4th, whatever. There isn't strong support for assisting the ball-carrier. It's possible some of those that didn't vote to change the rule this year are of a mind to not change things until they're literally forced into it. I don't see those who voted for change now altering their opinion any time soon so i'd bet on an amendment passing next season. It took a few years to ban the hip-drop tackle. So they’re gonna try and ban it a 3rd time?
