No it isn't. It's not easy at all. Too many people would have to be involved.
Nope. One person outside of the highest levels of the league office. I already addressed this. All one needs is a foreign substance on the ping pong balls and it ensures the machine picks those balls.
You're contention is that...for what?...30 plus years now? No one became disgruntled...No one felt the need to clear their conscience...no one had any financial difficulties and needed a quick influx of cash...no one decided to write a book?
My contention is that the NBA is a crooked operation that can’t be trusted and has been caught manipulating results in the past. I’m saying that league can’t be trusted.
You say "I'm not claiming anything is rigged"...but the NBA is corrupt.

Pick a lane.
The world is full of nuance. I’m sorry that you need to oversimplify things into either/or all or nothing constructs in order to make sense of it but it’s not my failing; it’s yours.

I’m saying I don’t have evidence that the lottery is rigged and therefore I’m not going to definitely say that it’s rigged. I’m saying that I can’t say it’s not rigged. I can’t say it’s not likely rigged because once trust is destroyed it’s very very difficult to get it back. The NBA is a corrupt league.

Yeah, there's nothing more logical and/or rational than believing something that you have no evidence to prove happened/is happening.
Exactly. You have no evidence that this is a fair process that is free of manipulation. You’re just going on faith.

Want to be clear in this tinfoil hat universe is one person deciding this needs to be rigged and hiring one other person to manipulate the substance onto and pick the right lottery balls?

Is the league - meaning the other teams - aware/behind it?

Going on what we do know.....and seems incredibly absurd all those other lottery teams would just say, "sure...we don't need a chance."

It could be Adam Silver and a handful of others at the top of the league office. They would only need to grease the palm of the person pulling the ping pong balls.

Not likely.

And of course, those handling the ping pong balls wouldn't notice and question a "foreign substance" on them. Tell us, what is this magical "foreign substance".

My contention is that the NBA is a crooked operation that can’t be trusted and has been caught manipulating results in the past. I’m saying that league can’t be trusted.

And yet, in 30+ years...not one person involved has come forward with even an accusation...let alone evidence.

Believing it's rigged (while also claiming that you're not saying it's rigged) isn't nuance. It's a desperate attempt to cling to a n

That’s because in your mind you’ve made my argument that all 30+ teams are involved in this. I never said that. You’ve assumed this is the case and just attached that to an argument I haven’t made.

One person would have to be bought.
And yet, in 30+ years...not one person involved has come forward with even an accusation...let alone evidence.
And? This doesn’t constitute evidence this isn’t manipulated.

It absolutely is nuance

So if it's rigged than Silver and his associates go to these team(s) every year or whenever they believe it will benefit them and bribe them? So eventually over the years 10-12+ management of teams know of this process and just keep quiet...I guess that is the logic here. Even former employees that are no longer in charge or have moved on. Everyone is hush hush...that doesn't seem very reasonable. Rumors spread and it only takes one guy. The fact there is no story or rumor for the last 30+ years about this doesn't support your claims.

I am not saying there is NO WAY it is possible very it is extremely unlikely.

I'm going with logic. As in, it would be illogical to risk destroying the league and losing the billions of dollars it makes every year just to make sure a certain player goes to a certain team.

You have zero evidence and zero logic...but believe it anyway.

That is going on faith. But that's the beauty of any conspiracy theory...it's inherently unproveable so you just respond over and over with..."you can't prove it's not happening" while never providing evidence to prove it is.

I don't need to try to prove a negative...it's incumbent on those making the claim to prove it's happening.

So we are supposed to believe that in a 6 year period the Pelicans got the 1 with a 6 percent chance and Dallas got it with a 1.8 percent chance. This is insulting to people’s intelligence.
Isn't it a much lesser chance to win many actual lotteries......yet people do?
