A gambling scandal that was >20 years ago and was exposed? A GM that was stupid enough to publicly flaunt that he was intentionally tanking for better picks in the leagues face?

You are free to believe what you will, and there is likely a little hank panky going on, but not the wide spread corrupt league that you are touting.

Gotta love being a fan...you can throw logic and reason out the window. lol

Right? NBA brings up rigging the draft for Dallas and all other lotto teams just say, "sure...whatever you think is best"?

I wonder if fans know this is not the Cowboys (who also are not benefit of league rigging).

Nah.

That doesn’t make sense.

Why would the league rig the lottery for a team that just gave away a franchise superstar?
Now I agree (never mind wont rig for anyone) but guessing someone has already said the deal was in place a while ago....get Luka to Dallas and we will give you Flagg.

Hard to know since we haven't seen Flagg at the NBA level yet. It is difficult to predict Flagg will EVER be better than Luka offensively. Luka is an all-time great scorer already. That being said, he does seem like a ++ defender and he can do everything you ask him on the court. He can probably be a Tatum or Brown caliber player and that would not surprise me at all. He is about the same height as Tatum and he has the same wingspan as Tatum and Brown.

I believe his defensive rating was the best in the country last season.

As @trojanfan12 always says…

Why would the league risk rigging this?

They have everything to lose. And literally nothing to gain.

Sometimes these things happen.

There are teams in the lottery that would look like a rig job if they win every single year.

Occasionally one of those teams will actually win it.
Just unreal.....league wants to rig the sport but Wemby goes to SA, the Oden/Durant lotto rewards Portland/Seattle, Zion/Morant draft rewards NO and Memphis? and so many more.

Yes and it was exposed because....*checks notes*

People couldn't keep their mouths shut.

Which is a big part of why the NBA is extremely unlikely to rig the lottery.

"2 people can keep a secret if one of them is dead".
It’s very easy to rig results and keep that information close. All it takes is the financial bribe of one person whose hands are on the ping pong balls.

I don’t have evidence and without evidence I’m not claiming anything is rigged. All I’m saying is that it’s apparent that the NBA is a corrupt entity and they deserve all the rumors and innuendo that gets thrown their way.

Evidence says that the NBA is indeed a corrupt entity. You’re more than welcome to believe whatever you want but the fact remains that the NBA stands alone as the only one of the 4 majors with a gambling scandal that changed outcomes of games since the Black Sox scandal in the early 20th century.

That doesn’t apply to me here. It applies to you. It’s illogical to demand there’s no possibility that this is rigged when we already know that officials in the NBA have rigged the results of games. Without any evidence proving that these lottery results have all been legitimate through the years you’ve declared that there is no manipulation of the process. That’s a huge leap of faith. It’s likely more about what you want to believe and has little to do with “logic”.

No it isn't. It's not easy at all. Too many people would have to be involved.

You're contention is that...for what?...30 plus years now? No one became disgruntled...No one felt the need to clear their conscience...no one had any financial difficulties and needed a quick influx of cash...no one decided to write a book?

You say "I'm not claiming anything is rigged"...but the NBA is corrupt.

Pick a lane.

Because way they do it would not exactly be compelling television as they pull the winner first.

In a sense, they pull numbers that then represent a pattern that is matched to the corect team

Yeah, there's nothing more logical and/or rational than believing something that you have no evidence to prove happened/is happening.
