The Lakers need to try to sign Steven Adams in the off-season.

The usual list of suspects this time of the year after a First Round exit.

Reaves should only be traded if they can find another younger star to pair with Doncic long term.

He should not be moved for an older center that will just be a rental for a couple of years. That would be very short-sighted on the Lakers part.

You guys know I’m a big Rui supporter, and for good reason. Trading him only makes sense if they replace him with another PF. Makes no sense to deal him for a center, and then have to replace Rui’s spot with a mid level player. People like to forget how good a 3 point shooter Rui is, plus his mid range game is very good.

The other players are expendable. Finney-Smith and Vincent have trade value, but Vanderbilt is purely just trade filler.

I agree ALR. That is why I think the Lakers should not engage in any trades this summer that involve Hachimura, Reaves, and maybe a Hayes. If Aryton is the guy, they can get him as a FA I believe. If not, buy a Second Rounder and find a Center in the Draft. Stop with this trading guys away past a couple of years only to regret it later like in the cases of Ingram, Kuzma, Hart, Randle, and now Zubac.

If James wants another championship, let him walk to say a Dallas or the W's and get his ring. Stop with this trading shit every frikin' year. Keep Bronny and other youngsters and develop them. Just sit tight for a couple of years and build a solid powerhouse franchise like the Thunder, Cavaliers, and Celtics!

What have the Lakers traded away in recent memory? Lakers have been blasted for NOT making moves the past two off seasons.

The Luka trade was a gift. It temporarily put the roster balance out of whack, so we got an early exit as a result. Rob could've done much better in the margins since that trade to help the balance, but not to the level to make them a real favorite this postseason IMO (especially after Williams' medicals).

Sitting tight and rebuilding when you only own league-mandated draft picks until 2031 isn't a great plan IMO.

Disagree re: trading Rui for a center. I'm a big Rui fan as well...however, I would trade him for Jaren Jackson Jr. JJJ would provide the rim protection the Lakers used to get from AD and is the lob threat that Luka likes. His ability to protect the rim would come in handy covering for the defensive shortcomings of Luka and AR.

DFS and Lebron can both play PF, there are also going to be some pretty solid PF's available in FA. I think Jonathan Kuminga would be worth looking at. His talent is obvious, but he doesn't really fit well with the Warriors...he only made a little over $6 million last year, so he could likely be gotten for a reasonable price...he's an RFA and the Warriors have his Bird rights...so the Lakers might have to overpay a little, but probably not too much as I don't think the Warriors will fight too hard to keep him.

Obviously keeping Rui while getting JJJ would be preferred...but I think if you can get JJJ and have to give up Rui...you do it.

Another possibility for center is Myles Turner...he's going to be a UFA, but Indy has his Bird rights...so he may be too expensive if Indy is motivated to keep him

Blow it up completely. From head to toe Including that retard Reddick. . Luka refuses to get in shape or play a lick of D , and Lebron is done with. Next year he won't be better, he will just be 41.. The experiment is over. I know people love Luka because hes amazing at offense, but that means nothing when you play no defense as every post season ultimately shows. . Basketball is done on both ends of the court. Adding a couple of stupid pieces won't change having a 41 year old and and a fat out of shape player that refuses to play D. The best step forward is to go to backwards in this regard. In the future Lakers can get some nice draft picks get the stupid overpaid 50M/year salary for fat people and elderly people off the books and get guys like SGA/Wemby combos I'm sure

We're still in May and he already looks like he's dropped 20.

Yes he does.
He couldn't lose the weight during the season because he was hurt and trying to play 46 min per game every other night. If he has good health, he's gonna get back to the 35/8/8 range he was when he carried the Mavs to the Finals

He was 28/8/8 last year. I'm not sure about the top end scoring boost given the mouths to feed in Lebron and AR, but no reason those assist numbers shouldn't climb, especially if they can land a better fit at center this summer.

Oh I am. That's two more 3's per game. I promise you ive seen every game Luka has played as a pro and he was hurt from Christmas on. 28/8/8 with a bad leg and out of shape. That's not him at his best. That dude is a monster competitor...all the shit people talked about him....hes gonna feed it back to them with a spoon

I don't doubt the talent. I just question if he'll have the ball in his hands enough to routinely get enough shot attempts since he's also a great passer.
