lol… what a stupid trade for the Steelers. Let’s fix the WR problem and then just break it again.
9-8 here we come.

Hasn't he been talking about forcing his way out for about 2 years now? The guy has talent, but not nearly as much as he thinks he does. He runs his mouth way too much for what he's accomplished as a player.

Wilson is only a 5th rounder.

But the Steelers are going to get a 3rd for Moore and a 4th for Fields.

And 3 6th round picks for Daniels, Jackson or Harris.

That should be pretty close to what you get. Overthecap does a pretty good job projecting these right away after taking the work a guy on a message board like this one did in reverse engineering the NFL formula.

So yes. The Steelers are going to have a ton of extra draft capital heading into next year's draft.
Yep. They are stocked with compensation picks and depending on the bonuses Wilson achieves it could become a 4th or 3rd. I doubt it will happen but still the 2026 draft for the Steelers is essentially their plan to retool this team.

Yeah they weren't going to keep him after his rookie deal anyway. I guess they were going to take the best they can get right now. And if Mason Rudolph is your starting QB his value will plummet this year anyway.

Just have to hope they don't make some boneheaded rental/trades this season like with Mike Williams.

3rd round capital doesn’t get you up in the first round. Gonna take a 2027 first minimum and if people are QB crazy, Browns and Rams are in need as well with better assets. They can offer two more firsts to the Steelers one more first.
Nope it won't but protects them more if/when they have to use the more valuable picks.

On one hand, the kid is an asshole. But Ive always understood him wanting out; the Steelers' offense is hot garbage. He's crazy talented and should help the Cowboys if they can keep him happy. He's a mental case though.

Not the best return and the timing doesn't sit well with me. Just wondering why they couldn't pull this off during the draft if it was the plan all along? Or there could be some news we haven't heard of yet, like GP possibly holding out or he did something stupid this offseason.

I've always supported trading him. Because I support punting this season away & they were never going to pay this kid what he wants.

9-8?? Sheeeeeeyit, if they're lucky! I am supremely confident that Tomlin will finally earn that 1st losing season he so desperately deserves, this is going to be a bad year for our Steelers

Steelers were never going to compete this year anyway, and George is on the last year of his rookie deal and will want big money. And he's too much of a headcase for Pittsburgh to pay him that money, so he was gone anyway. A 3rd is disappointing, but also realistic compensation.

Maybe this convinces Aaron to be retired, hopefully.

Fair points for sure

I think that holding out would only hurt him in the long run. If he is half as good as he thinks he is, he should bet on himself.
Always a risk playing on the last year of a deal. Players with any leverage at all rarely do it.

I'm confident in his ability to screw up their draft slot with meaningless wins.

Steelers receivers have a sterling track record around the league, especially head cases who want new contracts, right? And we all know how good Jerry Jones is at dealing with contract situations!

This is all going according to plan, hopefully Micah Parsons walks from this clown show after Jerry uses up his cap on a #2 receiver and signs with the Eagles where he clearly wants so badly to be.
Keep the fantasy alive lol. He will be lighting up Hurts the next 10 years, not playing with him lol

I was wondering when he was going to actually make an impact in an Eagles/Cowboys game. The Eagles don’t even block him. They just frustrate him by reading him and always making him wrong.
