On paper it looks like a good addition but it should be fun to watch Pickens in that locker room.

Micah due for a new contract and Pickens wants a new one....

I wonder if Dallas is aiming to extend or just looking at it as a rental where they give a 3rd next year and then get a comp pick back for watching him walk the year after.

I for one wouldnt want to be the one to hand him a $28M+ AAV deal. And clearly the Steeler were in the same boat too.

The Steelers right now have three 3rd round picks in the 2026 draft. Depending on the final bonuses Wilson gets with the Giants it is possible they will have four 3rd round picks. Definitely going all in for a QB in that draft, using that draft capital to trade up.

playing for a wildcard slot.

maybe the targets are more to his liking and he see's a better opportunity for better stats in his big FA opportunity.

maybe it's a win win

don't tell DJ

lol… what a stupid trade for the Steelers. Let’s fix the WR problem and then just break it again.
9-8 here we come.

Steelers were never going to compete this year anyway, and George is on the last year of his rookie deal and will want big money. And he's too much of a headcase for Pittsburgh to pay him that money, so he was gone anyway. A 3rd is disappointing, but also realistic compensation.

Maybe this convinces Aaron to be retired, hopefully.

Wilson is only a 5th rounder.

But the Steelers are going to get a 3rd for Moore and a 4th for Fields.

And 3 6th round picks for Daniels, Jackson or Harris.

That should be pretty close to what you get. Overthecap does a pretty good job projecting these right away after taking the work a guy on a message board like this one did in reverse engineering the NFL formula.

So yes. The Steelers are going to have a ton of extra draft capital heading into next year's draft.

Knowing this, do you think Pickens considers holding out?

3rd round capital doesn’t get you up in the first round. Gonna take a 2027 first minimum and if people are QB crazy, Browns and Rams are in need as well with better assets. They can offer two more firsts to the Steelers one more first.

I can't believe teams are still trading for Steelers skill players.
Steelers receivers have a sterling track record around the league, especially head cases who want new contracts, right? And we all know how good Jerry Jones is at dealing with contract situations!

This is all going according to plan, hopefully Micah Parsons walks from this clown show after Jerry uses up his cap on a #2 receiver and signs with the Eagles where he clearly wants so badly to be.

It will be more fun to watch Pickens catch passes from a real NFL QB...

what was the deal they gave DK 150 million while Pickens was looking for a new deal.

That was never going to work anyway, but a third? No wonder the bears did not trade Swift.
