And so begins the speculations for the re-tooling of the Lakers around Doncic and James if he decided not to retire. BTW, Doncic needs to get into the weight room this summer and add some muscle. I am sure the Lakers can facilitate the process.

These articles are always so unrealistic lol. MAYBE Carter out of that bunch would be available in trade?

Assuming that Lebron doesn't retire...Luka needs to spend the summer following Lebron around like a puppy eating the same things Lebron eats and doing the same workouts.

Austin Reaves and Jaxson Hayes need to hit the weight room this summer.

Yeah, Cavs aren't giving up Allen unless they absolutely have to. He and Mobley seem to work well together. Wouldn't mind Beef Stew as he'd bring an edge that I think the Lakers could use. But yeah, out of the list...likely that Carter is the only one who may actually be available.

Be interesting to see who might be available as an FA as well.

Here's 1...Knecht, Vando, 2031 1st and a couple of pick swaps for AD. :heh:

When you blow up a deal for no reason that person has a right to be petty

We don't know that it's "for no reason". I'd have to believe that the Lakers doctors saw something they didn't like and thought it was significant enough for the Lakers to nix the trade.

Maybe it's an Andrew Bynum type issue? He looked like an all-star until his knees fell off.

I don’t recall any stories of Williams going bowling before the trade deadline…

He's the one person that knows the reason outside of the Lakers, since the medicals are protected.

Lakers didn't just need a center, they needed a good and consistently available center. I'm still aggravated that they kept Len on the roster, could've at least promoted one of the 2 way guys in his place that actually give good effort.

James Jones as senior advisor? Senior to whom? He was in the league yesterday practically. That's a "saving face" transition.

The real blame is at owner, but you can't fire him.

Also cannot see giving up Allen, especially in a deal like that. Assuming Reaves will be due big money soon, as well, while Allen on very reasonable deal. Not that you have to listen to the players but think they might revolt if team made that deal.

I just cannot wait for Lebron to make sure he stays in the news while not announcing his own plans as long as he can.

I don’t think reaves fits in CLe

It’s likely a multi team deal in that case

I’m not sure the lakers find a better path than cheap Williams.

Really opens up their cap options next summer as well.

Ideally they use knect and Vanderbilt to land a c

Honestly might as well try for like Vuc

Not the best fit but a one year guy

Maybe pull a second back from Chicago as well since the lakers scouting staff is legit af

Something like that could work
