On to day 2. What does NE do?

1st round went pretty much as expected. I think day 2 will bring a lot more trades.
I would have liked Booker or Zabel surprised they went that early.

I would like Elijah Arroyo TE Miami, he's fast with good hands no LB in the league can cover him

I thought SEA would take Zabel. A lot of mocks had him going to them.

Booker was kind of a surprise.

Funny I was looking at Arroyo today as well. If not I'd like Fannin at TE maybe in the 3rd round.

Still hope we get a RB and FB and a WR. Henderson or Burden should be there with our next pick.

I think there are RBs and WRs to be had in 3rd. Personally RD 2 I would Arroyo then in the 3rd Tate Rutledge or Mbow if there and then a RB

@Yankee Traveler Why do I have a feeling Vrabel is going to go D with the next pick? Lots of talent still available on the defensive side is why. So maybe he goes for offense in the 3rd?

The best argument I saw for Will Campbell was very simple.

2585 snaps at LT. 5 Sacks allowed.

During Campbell's workout with the Patriots, Vrabel put on a heavy chest blocking pad. Campbell came out of his stance and hit Vrabel square in the chest, lifted him off his feet and put him on his ass. Greg Bedard witnessed it and said that Vrabel jumped up immediately and embraced Campbell.

Mike Vrabel's comment after the pick: "Will Campbell is our left tackle. It was a very, very easy pick."

Played nothing but LT all through HS and College. But this is the NFL, will he get beat at times? Of course he will it's silly to think he won't. He is super talented, experienced and super coachable. It's not a glamours pick but it is the correct pick

How frigg’n dare you!?!! Higgins is my favorite WR in this draft.

Faster than Harry
Better vertical
Better Long jump

Best hands in this draft. 4 career dropped passing with over 350 attempts.

He’s my man! I will wait for an apology for that Harry reference!
You have my apology. You'll notice I posted as a question

Was thinking … maybe trade one of the round 3s + a 7 and something next year to snag another 2nd rounder? Don’t know if it would help, but sounds cool.

I'd be for that if they can find a dance partner.

Mike Green in the 2nd?
Who's the nastiest guard left? Or a mean and violent center in the 3rd? Would the 3rd round be too soon for Donte Thornton or Isaac Teslaa?

For who? Do you have someone in mind?
Not really, I suck at evaluating players, but do think we have a better opportunity to draft a decent RB, WR or TE in the second. As far as what team would go for a trade, I have no idea.

If any of them are players they are targeting then you take them where you can. They have to trust their evaluations.

If Pats get Jayden Higgins here in the 2nd round I will consider this a homerun draft for them.
Well get on deck Casey, b/c it a real possibility. I would rather see a TE but he would be hard to pass on. And the reason I am leaning toward TE is ours are on short term deals and the draft class is not as deep at TE as they are WR.

I would like to see

RD 2 TE

RD 3 IOL

RD3 WR

Mason Taylor would be another nice piece to add to the puzzle for sure. I would give you guys an A for the first two picks if that happens. There were many thinking he might sneak into the end of round 1.

Here are few guys to think about. #38 is the sixth pick tonight.

22. Donovan Ezeiruaku, DE/OLB, Boston College

After notching 16 ½ sacks last season, Ezeiruaku already seems to have a master's degree in pass-rushing, as he has a full toolkit of moves he is prepared to wield at just the right moment. His 6-3, 248-pound build still will likely result in him being erased by bigger blockers, particularly in the run game, but he compensates for it by leveraging his length, agility and smarts.

36. Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina

At 6-3 and 220 pounds with the speed of a cornerback, he seems perfectly suited to match up with tight ends and bigger receivers. Emmanwori is a bit wild when working downhill against the run and may lack the fluidity to handle work in the slot, but his excellent ball skills and physical tools should prove plenty alluring to many teams.

46. Mason Taylor, TE, LSU

The son of Hall of Famer Jason Taylor has made a name for himself on the other side of the ball, proving to be a fluid pass catcher comfortable operating both in space and in traffic. He's not as dynamic as this year's top tier tight ends and is more likely to be a complementary piece than a go-to target, but he can still be a highly effective weapon for the right offense.

48. Jayden Higgins, WR, Iowa State

The appeal of trotting out a 6-4, 214-pound wideout doesn't require explanation. Higgins poses a major problem in the red zone and contested-catch scenarios, though he might be relegated to a big slot role until he refines his game a little further.

50. Aireontae Ersery, OT, Minnesota

At 6-6 and 331 pounds, Ersery is nimble enough to corral speedy edge threats yet strong enough to lock down anyone who tries to engage him. Things can get dicey when he has to recover or face a counter move, but his tools are worth developing.
