And the opposite is true. The fact that UMaine and UNH barely draw crowds yet a state not much bigger, Nebraska, has crowds approaching 90,000 completely reflects the culture of each area.
Yes and again the level of competition. There are always a few players that show promise from smaller schools just the majority come from majot programs

But that may have come to an end. No doubt schools would use NIL money to lure these guys into the transfer portal.

Rams release Kupp after failing to trade star WR
And the Patriots will miss another opportunity to get a player who could set an example for the 'entitled' guys drafted last year. Oh yeah, after Wolfe and Mayo traded the pick to San Diego who selected McConkey and the Patriots were able to pick off Baker. Typical of the Patriots like trading th pick that gave the 49ers Jerry Rice.

The reason that no one made the trade is that Kupp hasn't played a full season since 2021 and his performance has declined every year. So they all think that they can get him for less than the $19M he was owed. If you think he'll take NE over KC, WAS, DAL, LAC or even MIA, you're dreaming.

They have the money and for some reason won't spend it, thinking that they can compete with playoff contenders. The only waythat they'll get this 32 year old is to give him a three year deal for $60M and guarantee $55M of it.

As far as a LT goes, they didn't have a Plan B. They planned on overwhelming Stanley with money and he caught them with their pants down. Then they had to compete with KC for Moore and lost. Now it's either Cam Robinson or Tyrone Smith and they can make up their minds. Wouldn't surprise me if they watch both of them get signed and end up trying to move Moses to the left side.

Back in VT (not Virginia Tech) we carried slips around every week for our teachers to mark satisfactory or unsatisfactory.
If you got an unsatisfactory check you practiced but no game time.
Two check minuses in the satisfactory column equaled one unsatisfactory.
two unsatisfactory meant no practice either.

Here in Tennessee? Athletes go the whole season then have their grades evaluated prior to the next semester.

Up north...Grades first, athletics second.
In the south, athletics and maybe some school work!

I understand what you are getting at.
That said, Rice's talents would have been wasted in New England in 1986 (?). If he had been drafted here, then, he would not be the Jerry Rice that wrote the record books.

That’s how I feel about McConky. Does anyone really think he would have put up those numbers here with Brissett and a rookie QB throwing him the.ball? No doubt t he would have done better than the 2 turds we drafted. But no way does he replicate those numbers here.

"Still only 29 and respected around the league for being a solid but unspectacular pass-blocker, Cam Robinson will have a hard time finding an open left tackle spot at this point. However, a move to right tackle seems in order.

Per Mike Reiss, The Patriots and LB/DE K'Lavon Chaisson are in agreement on a one-year deal worth up to $5 million, as
@RapSheet
said. The base value of the deal is expected to be closer to $3 million.

6-3, 245 pounds

2020 first-round pick of Jaguars

72 games, 15 starts, 10 sacks (career-high 5 last season with Raiders), 105 tackles

So again we have to be going offense heavy in the draft correct?

I like some of the guards but Trystan Colon sounds like an asshole?
