Did I miss the part of the story where DK was also included in last night's trade?

There's RUMORS (and that's all it is - I doubt LV/SEAs staff is leaking credible info. - cause that means their job if they get found out) that Seattle said Geno and DK for Maxx Crosby. And LV said no. Wisely so. That's a no questions asked trade.. because Maxx is worth a 1st+... and Geno at a 3rd was already high and DK is prob. a 2nd at best. So the value doesn't work out at all.

It's why I wanted to trade DK last year when his value was higher. WRs/DBs/RBs, etc. they get moved around all the time. Nobody really seems to mind. DL/OT (that are borderline elite or elite)? They never get moved unless the player demands a trade (like Garrett). You could argue Thuney, but I think the Chiefs just simply can't afford him, and Thuney is not an amazing tackle. He's an amazing guard...

I think that's giving DK quite a bit of credit for knowing stuff.

I think DK is very aware of the stuff that affects DK. Even if he doesn't have his own efforts in keeping up to date in the ins and outs of the Seahawks front office, that's what he pays his agent for. Just because DK is a hot head doesn't mean it should be assumed that he's completely oblivious of situations that could cost him millions and derail his career.

Like Antonio Brown? We're all just assuming at this point...

DK has not shown Antonio Brown levels of crazy up to this point. I see DK as more a Terrell Owens personality than an Antonio Brown.
Yeah, Terrell is a good comparison... AB was a hot head but he didn't see how it could cost him money...

I certainly agree DK would be sensitive to anything that would detriment his career. I am not sure that automatically means he knew Geno was going to be traded though, and therefore also asked for a trade himself. It's not exactly a totally uncommon occurrence for high profile players to ask to be traded. And if DK knew the Hawks were trying to trade Geno, other people would have known as well. And if multiple people other than the principals knew, then we would also know because humans are pretty terrible at keeping secrets.

With comp picks, this is what our draft picks look like right now...

Yah I thought the 3rd round pick was earlier (although I did ask confirmation) but various sites have it wrong... apparently the 3rd we get is coming from the Davante trade... so yah, it's later. Kind of sucks, but I'll still take the extra 3rd if Geno is really asking for $40M+.

Nothing that happens behind the scenes is known, no matter if it's been reported or not. Fans opine about possible reasoning all the time, but no one really knows anything. Even most of the things taken as fact is really just taken with faith since we cannot know. The timing was interesting is all - for all we know DK requested the trade weeks ago and we just heard about it recently. Just like opining about what a player knows and when they knew it - it's all speculation.

Later DK.... 2nd rounder in exchange to the Steelers... A+ grade for Seattle. This offseason, I love it so far. What a steal.

5 picks in the top 100 is fantastic. If the FO does this right they could have 4 starters plus a solid role player or 5 for 5 as starters.

I am happy as hell. What a Sunday. I said I'd be willing to deal DK for any 2nd round pick and I'd be happy. Geno going for a 3rd? Didn't imagine that.

Hell of an offseason so far. You cut guys that are washed up, don't want to be here, are not going to be elite at any point in their career... and you got about as good of draft capital as you could get.

A+ Seattle offseason so far. Give me more. Can we get some team to trade a 3rd for Nwosu? It'll be so nice to not have Metcalf mailing it in play after play and allowing turnovers because of his ego. Dude fuck that guy. TO you're not. You're a lesser bitchier talented version of TO. Not even close. That was your ceiling, but you materialized your floor 3-4 years ago.

Whatever, I might just jizz on the bicycle...

3rd for Geno and a 2nd for DK so far both have returned more than many of you thought they would. So hawks with a 1st round two 2nd and two 3rd round picks. They are loading up on early round picks. In a perfect world thats 5 high quality starters right there. DK will look good in the black and yellow.

We'll see but I think both DK and Geno are gonna do jack fuck all on their new teams. I think both are washed.

Seattle wisely sold to incompetent trade partners. You have a QB that is declining, getting older, resurged but got figured out by the NFL once again... is highly emotional and gets frustrated... can make throws granted but again getting older. And then you have a wideout who has a knee injury (same knee) two years in a row, mails it in, gets frustrated, gives up on plays, is a HORRIBLE route runner...

lmao, Seattle just ACED this offseason. I thought we'd be lucky to get a 5th (Geno) and a 3rd (SDK). We got a 2nd and 3rd? lmao... yah hindsight whatever, but Seattle clearly is winning the trade offseason so far.

Back away from the bike damn it! You may need it to taking Nwosu to the airport.

I agree this has been an excellent off-season and finally getting this franchise back in the right direction. Now all we need is JS to spend on one of the top o-line guys in FA and draft best o-line guy 1.18

I'll admit I didn't see the Geno trade coming but great return and my hope was a 2 or 3 team battle for DK and maybe snag a 1st but that didn't happen but happy with a R2 pick.

I think we all WANTED to see a first for both Geno and DK but a 2nd and 3rd are homeruns. Both players will/should return a valuable players with those picks ( fingers crossed ) unless JS totally messes it up, which he very well could.

WR just became one of the biggest needs on this team right there with Oline.
