Our coordinators and coaches are interviewing like crazy. NFL needs to institute a rule so that teams dont get completely gutted in 1 year.

I would hate to have our coaches progression undermined by arbitrary rules. As much as jt would suck to lose all that talent, they earned the shot.

You just have to hope the Lions have been building a solid pipeline of coaching talent.

I agree mostly but I dont think spreading it out a little is not going to be too restrictive.

The Lions coordinators have been courted before. Should they be restricted because they turned down the opportunity in a previous year to contribute to the current year? If the teams are that concerned then offer them contracts that compensate them at more attractive rates so they continue to choose their current situation. Not everyone wants to be the head coach; some just want to be paid like the head coach! And a number of them deserve that range of compensation.

Meh the suffering fan base part is pretty rich given Lions fans experiences. I experienced 5 super bowl appearances including 3 wins as a Skins fans before I realized, against my better judgement, that I was now a Lions fan... few of whom can even remember the last time the Lions won a championship.

Looking forward to the game Saturday. Ford Field will be electric. The opponent shouldn’t be taken lightly - they have some players, but I think the Lions have an overall better team. Limiting Daniels influence on the game will be key. The Lions don’t need sacks as much as they do need to contain and minimize the Commander’s running offense.

I think 4th down will be needed a lot as I expect the Lions to run and run and run until WA changes out of their nickel base.

Ben Johnson tried to get way too cute, especially with the Jameson Williams pass, but none of that matters when the defense is that bad. Never could get off the field. Every 4th down play felt like a forgone conclusion.

Fun season, and I am curious to see where they go from here.

I thought going empty backfield on 3rd and 1 was dumb as fuck.

When Amik Robertson went down in the 1st quarter, I knew it was going to be a long night on defense.
