Broncos fans on social media acting like Nix had the worst debut in history is pretty laughable. Some of them even comparing him to Zach wilson already, lol. Of course, most of them likely weren't around in '83.
I mean... and you're probably thinking "Oh God here Shark goes", they're not wrong.
It wasn't pretty. 2 INTs, he had one run which came in garbage time, there was two other EASILY dropped INTs. If Seattle didn't gift them 7 points it was 26-6 going into the end of it... this was supposed to be against some low ranked team (according to what the media has been spewing 24/7).
The Broncos do have a good OL. They have a decent RB. Their WR group is led by Sutton but not irrelevant. Nix should've done WAY more with what was on the field. He went back to his Captain checkdown ways (which Seattle properly sniffed out) and was DESTROYED anytime he tried to throw the ball deep, which is EXACTLY what happened in College.
Everyone (Analysts/Scouts/Coaches/GMs) graded the Nix selection poorly and as a desperation move... and DUH, here we are. The only reason the Broncos were anywhere in that game was their defense.
