Grifol's status is a real head scratcher - as he has shown nothing and worse than nothing - someone who makes things worse. I don't have an explanation for it unless the plan is to can him and get a real manager for 2025 when the Sox should be in shape to make a good division run.

keeping liam is just the kind of stupid thing reinsdork would do.Congrats to Liam Hendriks for the Comeback player of the year award. He didn't last long -but it was one of the few high points of the season.
I don't think it is advisable to pick up the Hendriks option at $15 million for the next 3 seasons, the Sox can option instead to pay him $1.5 million per year for the next 10 years - leaving significant money in this year's budget. Maybe Hendriks and the Sox can renegotiate the $15 and keep the relationship.

There is literally no one in Free Agency for the middle infield - the best being - Elvis Andrus. Anderson will find a team willing to take a chance on him - he got a lot of praise from teammates in the World Baseball Classic and finished the season fairly strong at the plate. I think the question will be weather he gets someone to pay him more than $14 million - the Sox refused to pay him. just last year SS FAs were signing $100 million dollar contracts.
