Actually he needs to only pitch 3-4 innings a pop, be a bulk innings guy like Tampa and SF use. Make him mostly a hitter instead of half and half. Still some value in having one guy play 2 roles

Yeah, it'll be interesting. Purdy earned the right to be the starter with his play last year. But he's still a bit of an unknown. Gotta wonder how long Shanahan will stick with him if he starts to struggle.
