CY is really in a bad spot. There is no way he can decide not to be active in this trade market, but he can see the writing on the wall. About the only thing he can do is make less costly moves to make it appear he hasn't given up. Let's see how he handles this.

that's the confounding thing... at one point this was the #1 team in baseball. he's already put a competitive team on the field. they simply aren't performing.

And that followed a 14-13 month of June. So, as of now, they are 1 game over .500 for the summer. That doesn't spell postseason success.

When I look at the AL I am not seeing a dominant team. The NL is the another story. Who knows if a strengthening of the pitching staff couldn't make us very competitive at the end of the year. Just a thought.
